league starting:

-16 teams

-Dynasty with 45 roster spots

-IDP

-double header games each week.

-H2H schedules.

-Weighted PPR scoring.

-Playoff system that is NOT the typical bye week, 6 team, etc. (would like to take some luck out it by playing composite weeks, round robin eliminators, points awarded for regular season achievements, etc....negotiable with other founders).

-Looking to make it an active league that does not go dormant for 4-5 months.

I'd be interested in a new IDP league such as this.

I'm not a big fan of double headers, though.

I assume this is full IDP, with DT, DE, LB, C and S spots as well as a flex?

What kind of money are you thinking?

Hi guys. I am open to the exact amount of money for the pot. About $5/owner will be needed to pay the yearly site. I don't play for the money but realize the importance of it in ongoing leagues and I am definitely open to it and it can be something that can be agreed upon once all owners are in place.I currently have interest from enough people to fill about 6 of the spots so it may be slow to gather all the owners but I'm definitely open to setting it up in a way that is outlined from my original post but also meets what prospective owners are looking for.Yes, this will be a full IDP. Typical lineup is:1DT2DE3LB1C1S1C/S flexPossibly a flex in the DT/DE/LB area pending exact number of roster spots set.

I play in one other IDP league that has 1 DT, 2 DE, 3 LB, 2 S, 2C with a flex. This format works out very well. The added defensive lineup slots makes the defense as important as the offense.

If this type of lineup is adopted, 50 man rosters is best.

I'm pretty tight on cash right now, so the lower the league fee can be the better for me. I don't play for money anyway. It's strictly entertainment for me.

In another dynasty league I'm in the commish made the first year free, to let all owners get to know the league and him, to gain trust in the league. Money kicked in the second year. Just a thought.

The defensive lineup I listed above is with a 45 man roster so I think we are right on the same page regarding roster sizes. I am open to the entry fee and the free first year (would want everyone to pay their share for the website fees).
 
A free first year would be a very nice good faith gesture. Having each team pay their share of the league fees is fair for sure.

I like the larger roster and expanded weekly lineup, but I'm flexible.

 
Picked up a couple of interested parties today so its looking more likely this will be a go.

Having some discussions about the possibility of running the league for free for the 1st year...not definite yet.

Any thoughts as to where the league would be hosted? Sounds like the rules will be very complex so the hosting site will need to handle this and be flexible to meet the needs of the league.

I asked the commish the same thing. He said it would be on MyFantasyLeague (MFL).

Yes, Myfantasyleague.com will host and all the rules as they are currently have been used in myfantasyleague.com leagues (the rules are a blending of a few dynasty leagues I have been doing over the years).The scoring is detailed but is very balanced between offense and defense. I will send you both a PM and if you will send me your email address, I will send you the rules to look over. Thanks.

Hi. I have never had to use it and my real life profession pretty much guarantees that I would definitely not jeopardize anything over a FF league, but I have been seeing what has been going on in some people's leagues so I am going to implement it for this league to put everyone's mind at ease (I may just need to get some help setting it up because I have never done it).
