I may be jumping the gun a bit here. But the way I see it they are bringing Frye in to be the starter. Why even waste a roster spot on a backup qb if you are going to trade for the just benched qb from the worst team in the league?? I'm sure Lorenzen was sitting home last night thinking here's my big chance and then this morning "oh crap they are picking up another sorry qb". If that's all the faith they have in him why don't they have their punter learn the position and fill in if Eli goes down. No way in a million years.Frye couldn't make it as a starter in Cleveland. There's NO WAY he'll be a starter for the Giants.

Lorenzen starts until Manning returns. If Lorenzen can't cut it, then Anthony Wright gets a shot. Frye is nothing more than emergency insurance.
