where are all of you haters now that said he will only get 200 to 225 for carries because of F. Jones ? Week 3 in the pre-season is normally a preview of what you will see in the regular season. Sorry haters but he will see a hugh increase in carries like i have said he will see 275-300.. Get him in the draft if you can, hell i'd take him over S. Jackson you?

Your post would more effectively make your point if you printed his correct stat line: 13-75-1.

Dude are you for real......he won't split 50/50, 60/40, 70/30, maybe 80/20 that's what im talking about to many clowns out there believeing the cowboys would give to much work to a rookie....

I keep waiting to see Felix Jones. I guess I will have to wait until the 2nd half.

Slaton looked good.

Holy crap, does this mean New England is going smacked around all season long? I mean what happens in one half of one preseason game is absolutley the ONLY indicator of what's going to happen in the regular season.

Also, Jason Hill, Rashied Davis, and Brian Finneran are all going to be studs. So is Orton. Sammy Morris is going to take half of the carries in NE this season. Sam Hurd is going to be awesome.

If I had only known last year that these two quarters of non-regulation football would tell me everything I needed to know about the upcoming season.

What is up with this guy? ;)

we already know Barber will put up numbers at home against the Texans...what we don't know is if his limited touches against good defenses on the road will be enough to make him worthy of his ADP.

Personally I think he's ranked about right...I have him as the #9 RB.

I understand that my point was this is the 3rd preseason and from what we are seeing this could indicate he will see more carries than some expect. i know it's only a preseason game but we all know they come in trying out there game plan week 3. I like what im seeing and just moved Barber up a few spots, along with some digs to those out there trying to say he will still only see 200 carries ,i think they are off there rocker.

1999 = Birth year?
Here come all the Barber haters, of course they change the subject and wont admit to being a Barber hater
Actually I'm a big fan of Barber, and really believe that he will be a top 5 back. I just don't see a need to come in and say LOL WUTZ UP NOW H8RZ after one half in a preseason game. Just sit back and enjoy the ride to your league championship, then feel free.

So you really have no understanding that this isn't about Barber but about how foolish it is to jump to this conclusion based on a preseason game? Please tell us that you have some sense of reality.
come out with a real barber opinion or go away
When you quit acting like a child I will give you a Barber opinion.

I do not think the question is how many carries Barber gets in the beginning of the season, but rather how many carries he loses as the season progesses. It looks as though right now Barber is a top five RB.

Felix just fumbled - ouch!

My RB rankings from day 1 of "researching" this year have been:

1. Tomlinson

2. Westbrook

3. Peterson

4. Barber

5. SJax

6. Addai

7. Gore

8. Portis

9. Lynch

10. L.Johnson

Aside from all the nonsense in this thread, I am now in quite a pickle trying to decide between Addai and Barber in the #6 slot.

Did you just call Schneikes a stud? Coming out of a hole? The hell?
are you confussed, oh ok ill walk on egg shells for ya...
You're sounding like you started tail gating around noon. :sadbanana: Barber is about RB 5/6/7 depending on how much you like SJax/MBIII/Gore and their situations. Personally I take Addai before the bunch, but I like less risk in the 1st even w/ a little less upside. Not sure how this pre-season game is changing that much. I do agree/believe he'll see > 200 carries.

I'm really big on Barber right now. He's playing behind that big, bruising offensive line. They will open holes, he will get lots of yards, he will get touchdowns. A very solid first round pick.

Listen here buddy, we won't joke about that...

Let's say you're right and he gets far more carries than many people thought, my suggestion to you is act like you've been right before. Calling people clowns and haters because their opinion differs than yours on the amount of carries a RB gets is a little ridiculous.Remember, act like you've been there before......

 I agree. But, a newer guy just a day ago was being flamed and taunted by some "old schoolers" in here just because he asked if picking Barber at 4 overall was a bad idea. They gave him the rolling laughter and asked him to "bring his money to their league". So, I'm not condoning this type of post, but I can clearly see how some people would be apt to lashing out in a situation like this. If you don't want that type of post in your forum, then some folks should show more respect for people going with their gut and against the grain, even if they disagree. Especially when the guy is just asking for opinions, not ridicule. I've only been on these boards for about 2 weeks and I've seen a ton of that already. Agree to disagree, and leave it at that.

:lmao: I said i thought he would get hurt before he made it to 250-275 carries. Has he made it to 250 yet?

I would hope people would agree that when a team has a RB who is superior but they split carries, it is normally to keep him fresh both for the end of the game, and for the season.

This is preseason. The plan was for Barber to only play the first half. They didn't need to keep him fresh for the 2nd half, because he wasn't going to play it. He's only getting a half a game of work, that isn't enough it's going to wear him out for the season, so again, the normal motivation for splitting carries wasn't there.

We don't know if Phillips was rolling out his new single RB gameplan as the OP suggests, or if he wanted to get Barber a solid half of work to test his conditioning, or if there was just no reason to split carries now as Jones will probably get a lot of work in game 4. In short, I don't think it seems like a similar enough situation to the regular season that we want to read too much out of that aspect of it.

lol... that was great. I just wanted to clarify my post. Although the owners of this site I'm sure appreciate the "regular" posters who offer their insight and opinions, I'm really sure repeat busininess is at the top of their list as a target goal for customers. If my first post in these forums was met with ridicule and smart ### coments, I'd think twice about offering my repeat business. That's all I was really saying. If you don't agree with a post, disagree, but disagree respectfully."No, I don't think we'll ever get over macho grande" fricken great movie..... thanks for the laugh !
