Mac N Cheetos are the best thing in fast food since the McRib (1 Viewer)

Burger King has a new menu item that is a mashup of cheetos and mac & cheese.  It's mac n cheese on the inside and the cheeto makes up the outer shell.  I tried them the other day and they blew away all my expectations.  Granted, I did not go in with high expectations.  I was expecting a soggy, gooey mess. A half assed attempt at the mashup at best.

Instead, what I got was amazing and incredibly addicting.  The fry shaped Mac N Cheeto is not soggy or gooey at all.  The exterior is very crispy and holds the mac n cheese effortlessly.  Also very surprising was that you dont get any cheeto dust on your fingers eating these.  Inside, they did the right thing by not making the cheese too gooey.  Nothing oozes out upon your first bite.  The cheese is just melted enough to be good but not enough to be messy.

Flavor wise, the Mac N Cheeto also shines.  It really is equal parts cheetos and mac n cheese.  Surprisingly, the mac n cheese flavor hits first with the more bold cheeto flavor hitting a few seconds later at the back of the palate.  Overall a very good harmony of the two flavors, and a true mashup.

I'll tell you the problem with the scientific power that you're using here, it didn't require any discipline to attain it. You read what others had done and you took the next step. You didn't earn the knowledge for yourselves, so you don't take any responsibility for it. You stood on the shoulders of geniuses to accomplish something as fast as you could, and before you even knew what you had, you patented it, and packaged it, and slapped it on a plastic lunchbox, and now you're selling it. Your scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could that they didn't stop to think if they should.

This just sounds like a heart-stopper special to me. As in clogged arteries stopping heart from beating.

They're surprisingly not greasy at all.  I would assume they're far from the worst thing for you on a fast food menu.

Meh.  I mean... they weren't gross.  Maybe a little dry.  Perhaps they vary in deliciousness from store to store.  But my encounter yesterday net a score of 7/10, and that's probably being a little generous.

Edit to add:  makes me miss Pluckers' fried mac n' cheese.  If you live in TX or Baton Rouge and have yet to sample these, go now.  Like right now.

Had these the other day, I give them a very strong "meh." Cheetos taste was barely there, and the mac n cheese was just a goop.

That's called the Burger King experience.  Stay home tonight or always be cognizant of the nearest bathroom in your area.

I suggest baby oil and a warm washcloth to alleviate the sting of bunghole burn.

Wife and I were both excited to try these.  Weak.  Will not order again.  Dry inside and not nearly enough Cheeto flavor.

Had them yesterday and couldn't disagree more. It shocked me how good they were. Don't know if I got a fresh batch and you didn't or whatever, but I've tried a solid variety of mac and cheese bites over the years and these somehow were the best. Not dry at all and nice gooey cheese.

Wait!  That's not true.  I was forced to eat BK at the Las Vegas airport in 2010.  I had some sort of new rodeo burger or something with peppers and it was so bad I had to pay money to take a dump on a Spirit Airlines redeye into Detroit.  Never again.
