Madieu Williams to the Vikings (1 Viewer)

I'd think that he'd have somewhat less value as a FS in a Cover-2 than he did in CIN.
Leslie Frazier is a pretty aggressive coordinator and (I think) was instrumental in Williams' getting drafted in the second round by the Bengals, which many thought was a reach at the time. Williams has proven himself capable in coverage and on run blitzes and pass rush. It'll be interesting to see how Frazier uses him and Sharper. Hopefully, it'll be an interchangeable situation. Williams should still have reasonable value in that case. If the Vikings can find an end or five, this defense should be really fun to watch.

Goes without saying probably since we've pimped him since last November, but I think this puts Nedu Ndukwe in the driver's seat as the most attractive 2008 option in the Bengal secondary.

...with White at FS?Is that the best skillset fit on both sides?

I just picked up Ndukwe in a Zealots RFA - he was a free agent paid a bit for him - nice to see it might pay off.

Top 20 for Ndukwe?
Zimmer, at least recently, has always had a pretty clear SS-FS difference. Roy Williams in Dallas, Lawyer Milloy in Atlanta. I agree, though, that reading last season draft profiles would have suggested that Ndukwe was more of a FS and White a SS. However, Ndukwe is 6'2", 215, and he can hit as well as cover. With the new staff and a potentially new scheme, nothing is certain. But I thought Ndukwe looked better than White in all phases last year and clearly had a knack for the ball. White may have closed the gap later in the year, but my early feeling is that Ndukwe is the one to hold.Still too much up in the air to give Nduwke a top 15-20 ranking, probably. Hopefully, the Bengals will make some kind of move soon enough to let us know which way they're leaning with the defense. Aside from the two young corners, I don't think it's clear who will play where anywhere else yet.

I think this move gives Winfield and Griffin a boost.

With Madieu patrolling centerfield, it will allow lots of aggressive reads for the CBs.

It's amazing, over the past few season, CBs are prooving to be valuable in fantasy play.
