To answer the question, I think Burns the character was funnier, but as everyone noted, because of the situations he was put in. Winchester was clearly the deeper character.

I'm apparently in the minority, but I really much preferred Potter over Blake from a character standpoint. Also, I'll take Trapper over BJ (Trapper went to my high school, only about 50 years earlier).
