Malcom Floyd hamstring. How bad is it? (1 Viewer)

I have been searching and searching trying to find out how bad Lloyd's injry is and I dont see anything. I mean is he bad enough that he becomes dropable?

"Norv says Malcom Floyd has strained hamstring". "Strained" hamstrings This type of injury kills you in trying to figure out when the guy will be back. 1-2 weeks? 4-6 weeks?

Hamstring injuries are fairly common in athletes or others participating in recreational sports. The injury can be fairly debilitating for a competitive athlete, requiring at least two weeks (and as much as six weeks) rest for recovery. And even with proper care, the recurrence rate for reinjury is fairly high.

Is he back next week or is it out until after the bye? If he is in the 6 week range VJAX will be getting ready to take over.

Yeah, I'm worried also. The thing is if VJAX comes back week 12 and they have a week 10 bye, thats week 8,9,11 which Floyd would be playing as the #1 ASSUMING he plays next week which at this point who the hell knows. So were looking at 1 or 2 more games with him playing without VJAX

Shefter has reported that he is expected to miss next week's game at minimum. Well, crap.
boy none of the reports are promising.. There isnt even any encouragment or information at all. I have a bad felling he is out until after the bye. I sure hope I dont end up regretting not dropping him..guess I wanted are gone now though.

Hamstrings are always a miserable injury to deal with. Nanee just missed what a month with his? And as far as it getting crowded with the WR I disagree with that, more a product of someone has to catch the ball. If Floyd comes back I wouldn't worry about Crayton and Davis taking his catches.

The wild card here is V Jax, who knows what the hell he will do when he comes back.

I was glad to have Floyd for the first 6 weeks, but if you can unload him, now is definitely the time to do it. Crayton is getting more involved & B. Davis has even been serviceable. Add the unknown factor of VJax's return and it all spells reduced numbers for Floyd even if he does make it back fully in the next couple of weeks.

I was lucky enough to have someone offer TB Mike for him this week & jumped on it. I didn't ask if the other team knew Floyd's status was so iffy, so I hope Karma doesn't come back & bite me on the butt.

I'm holding (caveat: My team is okay without him).

Weeks 14-16 the Chargers face the current 15th, 19th, 25th pass defenses and the Chargers depth chart behind him are role players. It's no streatch to see him finishing the season the way he started it.

I just traded Floyd for Vick.

This is starting to sound like a more significant injury than just a few weeks. Anybody with current info?

Is Legedu Naanee returning anytime soon ?

And how does his future dynasty value look with the current mess at WR ?

Floyd and VJax are UFA's after this season. VJax is gone, Floyd may be gone as well. If Floyd stays I like him to put up decent #s, but they may draft/sign someone to compete with what they have.

I'm not sure on how bad his hammy is... but I'm holding him.

I have enough good WR's (Megatron, Smith(NYG), M. Williams, Moss(help me God) )

so I feel that I can keep him on my bench and hope for the best.

I am also not really too optimistic about VJax's return. He could be rusty and by the

time he actually shows up, it could be too late for those with playoff hopes.

Doesn't sound good for Naanee this week either. So introduce yourselves to Seyi Ajirotutu if you're looking for a last minute WR flyer this week.
