Mancaves - who has one and what do you have down there? (1 Viewer)

I have to say mine is not living up to its potential. Sure I have a nice flat screen and a nice recliner but I'm curious to hear what you guys have. It's a great place to spend Saturdays and Sundays in the fall watching football but I know I can do better. Who has their place pimped out?

I have my exercise equipment, the home cinema, loungers and in an adjoining room another lounger and my computers/library

My mancave is shared with my boys, so it is playcave!

We have two 39' lcd TV's with two xbox 360s, a Wii U, and Xbox 1. A nice recliner and some other chairs for gameplay. We are now putting up shelves to show off my sons sweet hockey card collection. We also have our trophys, an air hockey tables, and some enlargement shots of my boys playing football.

No wife allowed!

I have an "office" with my computer, tv, recliner, drafting table, my taxidermy'd alligator wearing a top hat.

oh and it's all buried under my kids old toys/clothes/carseats/etc

No mancave (hate the term too) but have a home theater in my basement. Front projector/80" screen with a nice sound system and a huge couch. I also have a sound booth and recording workstation for my voiceover work. And some exercise gear.

I like the idea of putting in some exercise gear since a bar wouldn't get much use these days. Call it whatever you want but as long as it's MY space.

All my buddies are welcome but since I pay the mortgage on the dwelling, technically I'm the captain of the SS Guapo.

Is there an o/u on square footage of a house to have a "man cave"? Having all of your autographed memorabilia on the walls in a 10x10 bedroom shouldn't give you the right to drop the term m" man cave".

Never had a 'mancave' but I've always had a retreat--my shop. Right now I'm making a countertop for the kitchen of a barn we're building into a rental house. Whenever that project gives out I guess the next will be setting up a corn roaster for trailering. Hopefully get to finish the outdoor playhouse/swingset this summer.

Seems like there's always something going on, but I do have it set up with plenty of seating under the oversized overhang, pig cooker on one wing, smoker on another, fridge within reach and I'm good listening to the football games from there while watching the kids when the pool is set up.

I have my den.

Am I the only one that finds the term "mancave" incredibly annoying?
Nope. I call mine the jackin' off cellar.
5 TVs for Football, 10 pinball machines, eventually a bar, etc when I'm done building out my Jackin' Off Cellar.

Full blown home theater in one section (power recliners etc), pool table in other section, an eating area (table, chairs etc) with a view of screen and then a dedicated poker room which connects to home theater.

Happily Married 15 years with an amazing son....but a man needs his playroom.

Funny response though...had me laughing!

This was my old one before I moved to Seattle. Behind the chairs in the picture was a computer desk and a bar. Dartboard is around the corner by the pool table. I still have one now but it's a bit more compact. No pool table, no bar.

Moving back to my native SoCal and just signed a lease on a 4-BR so I'll have my "office" back. Will have a desk, TV, futon (for naps and mother-in-law... not at the same time), vintage movie posters on the wall, maybe a beer fridge. Nothing too fancy.

Maybe one day I'll have the jack to do something badass with a massive screen, sound system, pool table, etc.

I just finished my basement this past year. I put a 17 ft wet bar with flat screen hanging behind it. On the left of the bar is a living area/movie room that is open with another TV hanging. On the right side of the bar is a game area with dart board, ping pong table and doors leading to a patio and fire pit. I also put in a full bathroom, complete with a waterless urinal. I had reasons for doing it waterless, but I wouldn't do it that way again.

There's always bourbon and beer in the fridge. There's pot next to the couch, in my office, and probably on the kitchen counter too. Bowls and bongs in the nearby vicinity. Papers are around for those who roll. Want something stronger? My neighbors probably have it or I can get it tonight. No judgement here.

I have DirecTV with all the channels and On Demand. My TV is linked to my dork machine (Gaming PC) as well. I can stream any and all pornography on my 42" LED Vizio SmartTV.

Pretty sure that I'll be buying a PS4 soon.

Want to bring a hooker over? Be my guest but I get a go. Need to hide contraband? I have an attic, crawlspace, and locked storage unit. And a parking spot all my own.

Really, it's paradise.

Airfare out to Denver is pretty reasonable...

It's called Ceilume. It was a standard ugly drop ceiling when I moved in and rather than remove the whole thing, I just bought better looking tiles.

I'm a single guy living alone in a two bedroom apartment. The entire thing is my mancave.
I get this, I mean, I'm living alone in a 3-bedroom house so it's all whatever I want it to be, but I find the ladies appreciate the whole thing doesn't look like a bachelor pad. I mean, there's a PS3 & Wii hooked up to the living room TV and the pinball machine in the office, but other than that it is High Class all the way and I get lots of compliments from the women-folk who visit.
I'm not one for High Maintenance so if the lady doesn't like it, GTFO, it wasn't meant to be. You don't like smoking pot, drinking booze, other debauchery, and/or any form of entertainment you'd like (without commercials, with the exception of live sports)? I was barking up the wrong tree anyhow. Sorry and glll.

I ain't changin' baby.
