I'm agreeing with this more and more over the years. I've said in the suspicion thread that I pretty much assume they all use to a certain extent. I've come to accept that baseball players have changed and they'll probably never change back.

I can see the value of not letting guys do it with absolute impunity. I just figure beating the league testing system is now part of the game.I've been saying for awhile now that they should just open the floodgates and just let everyone do it.

That's why the outrage of the steroid era has always bothered me.It'll be funny if the substance Manny was busted for happens to an amphetamine, which baseball players have been on forever.Cheating is as much a part of baseball's tradition as anything else.
