Marcus Lattimore out for year (1 Viewer)

South Carolina sophomore and future first rounder RB Marcus Littimore and will miss the rest of the year with what the Charleston Post says is a torn knee liginent. 2nd big time RB prospect to go down, along with Knile Davis.

Wow huge blow! I wonder if it might affect his draft stock next year too as he attempts to come back from a bad injury. Dyer may overtake him now as the #1 RB in the 2013 class. This is also a huge blow to South Carolina's chances this year, their offence looked lost out there yesterday when he left the game.

That's too bad. Both he and Davis turn 20 in October, so they're definitely young enough to come back. Even if they both stayed 2 more years (Davis was red-shirted), they'll still only turn 23 their rookie years. Guys like Chris Johnson and Arian Foster turned 23 in the fall of their rookie years.

I liked Dyer better before the injury. Although Lattimore is very good, he was more of a 20-30 pick prospect while I think Dyer is a top 15 pick.

I like Dyer too, but there are some current Jrs and SOs that will be fighting for that top spot. A lot depends on who actually declares for the 2012 draft.
