Marion Barber Violates New Team Dress Code (1 Viewer)

Nice move by a team captain. Looks like he wants to test Garrett's authority early.

Supposed to wear a tie, wears jeans and untucked t-shirt

If Garrett wants to show the team who is in charge, Barber should not see the field. Let Jones and Choice handle the duties.

Garrett is a joke.
I will be interested to see how he handles this. He didn't seem like a tough coach on Hard Knocks a couple years ago. If you are going to implement team policies, you better be ready to enforce them, or the whole team will think you are a joke. He is on the clock.

I just don't think that in the name of this amorphous thing called "discipline" you can risk the team's on field chances of winning.

Barber would be the reason due to his refusal to comply with a rule. Although in this case, their chances of winning probably increase. Barber is putrid.

agreed . . .

Side topic, any idea what happened to Barber running wise?

He used to be a force, then he got a few injuries and turned into Maroney. He's not even that old.

Could be wrong, but it's clear that Barber doesn't run with the same sense of relentless abandon that he used to. Maybe it's injuries that have caught up to him, or maybe he's just not as inspired - who knows. We'll see if he rediscovers his former sense of purpose in another uniform next year - wouldn't surprise me to see him reunited with Sparano in Miami next year.

Barber looked good closing out the game. He just never should have been the starter, as he can't run with abandon for four quarters and hold up. Tuna was right about him.Hopefully after this game Garrett will see the Barber should just be reserved for the 4th quarter.
