Maroney Dynasty Owners; whats your future plans.... (1 Viewer)

The kid has look awesome in this post-season... I own Maroney in 2 dynasties and the offers are starting to come. Personally; I'm holding unless an Sjax is offered... But if you can get him for a reasonable price; I say go for it. Kevin Faulk is up there, Morris will be in his 30's so next season will be all Maroney. He'll redound for sure.

Also; I don't see the Pats going back to this style of offense again next season. I hope they revert back to their old selves which was Run Power Football.

I'd love to be able to pawn him off on someone. But since I spent the 1.11 pick on him there's no way I'd get any value for him so I'm forced to keep him. People have sent me trade offers no higher than a 3rd rounder...A 3RD ROUNDER! Other than Tom Brady and Randy Moss, there is no one worth holding onto in that offense. They pass the ball too much and have too many weird packages where they use LB's as RB's. Hell, Faulk is probably the RB to have in that offense.

Thats the difficulty with a player like Maroney because everyone knows he has the ability to put up 1500/12 given the chance, but does he ever get the chance in NE?. Until BB feeds him the ball 300+ in the reg season he wont fetch what he is worth in a trade. I would deal LM for the right price because its too frustrating whatching Vrable, Evans and Faulk get more goaline work than him. However if I cant get what is fair value I will hang onto him and hope that BB makes him a focal point in the reg season.

Everyone wants top 5 rb value for the guy. Untill he has a top 5 RB fantasy season im not even thinking of him.

I can totally see where you're coming from. The problem is however that once (if) he has that top 5 RB fantasy season, it is going to be too late to deal for him. Just like Burton said, the guy obviously has tons of potential. IMO, if one were to ever try and grab Maroney now would be the right time to do so.

I am holding him myself. Not going to get what I want for him and I do think he's got talent. He's a 22-23 (what ever it is) year old running back with talent in a bad spot it seems. If you can get him cheap I would do it now. I should have traded him last offseason when he was being talked up to death, thankfully I did not have to start him at all last year....

As a Maroney owner in the Zealots Leagues, I'll admit I was disappointed in his production this season. As the year progressed he got more carries, thus his production went up. He finished with 185/835/6 in 13 games (26th RB in Zealots scoring) I believe he shoulder injury was more serious earlier in the year so they used him sparingly. He has been an absolute beast in the playoffs. Maroney's stock is rising, and I have intentions of trading him

My $0.02
