That is...if you can get him....

starting week 10:

@ NE

CLE

@KC

SF

MIA

@NYJ

@DEN

NE (if you play wk 18)

MIA, JETS, DEN in playoff weeks.... :stalker:

I'm having a hard time swinging deals to get any of the guys targeted. Lynch/Gore/SJax/Grant/Forte (looking at cold weather RB's especially). Most owners won't part with them. Doesn't help that they all way my Westbrook or Marshall in any deal. I would put Bush in a package to get some of the above 5, but nobody's buyin' damaged goods. With so many backs disappointing, I'm interested who you could give up to get a Lynch anyway in a redraft.

Bills homers...do you guys see Fred Jackson getting more carries in the 2nd half of the season? He had only 3 less than Lynch last week and has 19 carries in the past 2 weeks, and he has a higher ypc than lynch. Lynch has yet to hit 100 yds in a game, just wondering what the feelings are in Buffalo about the running tandem.

Also, the jets have the 4th best rush def in the league, maybe a better move is to wait til after this week and possibly get a nervous owner that wants to sell. Lynch has 15 pts each of the last 2 weeks, seems like you'd be buying pretty high right now if you trade for him.

Pretty much traded Brees for Lynch a few weeks back. Guy was light at QB and I had Schaub and Warner at the time. Not sure what Lynch would go for now. He's not a huge yardage guy, but a td a week and having Denver for championship game are nice. I made sure to get Fred Jackson as part of the deal too.

I was wondering the same thing, just traded for Lynch and think it might be time to cut LJ loose and pick up Jackson for insurance.

:mellow:
Part of a package deal.

Their offensive line is not good at run blocking. They have been good pass blockers, but they are not good run blockers.

Not sure if that is going to improve.

I've heard comments that that are actually too tall and that the Defense can get leverage on them much easier. Not sure if I buy that, but anyway.

Be wary.

I traded Lynch for Gore week 6 and hoping it pans out, so far so good. I like Gore's homerun ability, knowing that there could be some down weeks. Hasn't lost me a game yet.

I don't agree about the schedule argument. Week 14 Lynch faces Miami which is a bottom 8 defense in fantasy points for opposing RBs. I'd rather not lose in week 14 which is the first week of playoffs for me. On the flip side, Gore has a tough matchup in week 15 so it's probably a wash.

Overall I'd rather have Gore, just hope that Singletary can get the ground game humming along.

I would anticipate Lynch and Jackson continue to split the carries at a 60/40 or 66/33 ratio for the rest of the season. Lynch has been temporarily nicked up in a few games (nothing serious) and as a result Jackson took some of those carries away from Lynch. Last week was a good example of this as Lynch was taken out of a scoring drive to be examined for a concussion and Jackson was in the goalline package. Normally those carries would go to Lynch.

With respect to the Week 14 Miami game, it should be pointed out that Lynch and the offensive line had their best rushing game of the season last week at Miami. Lynch's carries were low for the game due to being temporarily removed for a concussion examination and also because they panicked with their offensive playcalling and abandoned the run too early in the second half. But when Lynch (and Jackson) ran the ball, they were getting much bigger holes than they have at any time previously this season. I think the Bills are looking forward to their rematch in December.

I'm not too high on Lynch. He's avg 65 rush yd/g, and Jackson is the 3rd down back (although Lynch does get a few receptions each game). He has found the endzone 6 times, which is the only thing holding his value, imo. Just not too impressed.

When did that occur? Jackson got the 1st 5 carries of the game.

1st couple of plays' maybe the first- Lynch caught a pass out out of the backfield and got hit near the sideline- was woozy. That's when jackson came in and started getting the rushes...

Just traded for Lynch. Gave up Reggie Bush and Kevin Faulk. Had similar offers including Bush rejected for Forte and Ronnie Brown (and even Lynch in another league).

I sold out big time to get Marshawn:

Cutler/Marshall/LenDale

for

Favre/A. Johnson/Marshawn

Seeing Denver week 16 was a big part of that. I have Tomlinson and Jacobs as my other backs and Schaub as my other QB.

I'm guaranteed to make the playoffs and I wasn't feeling like Jacobs/White was potent enough at RB2 to get me the championship.

I wouldn't consider that "selling out big time". IMO, you got the 2 best players in the deal. Well done.

It was the Bills' first scoring drive where Jackson got stuffed on the goalline for 3 straight plays.ETA: KingEl beat me to it...

Lynch is only effective when he gets 25 touches a game. He hasn't yet this year and has put up some solid numbers. I cant wait till he breaks a few and goes 25-140 on someone. He needs his touches and runs much better in the fourth.

Does he typically break big ones?? I haven't looked at his numbers, but it doesn't seem like it going off memory

As far as the "cold weather runner" thing goes, it may have some merit.

Last year, Lynch averaged for 75 yards per game and 0.44 TDs per game in September and October.

Last year, Lynch averaged 96 yards per game and 0.5 TDs per game in November and December.

Also, all three of his 100 yard rushing games came in November and December. Now, keep in mind this was a rookie, so these stats are supposed to be reversed with the whole "rookie wall" thing. A rookie isn't supposed to get stronger in weeks 13-17, but that's exactly what happened to Lynch.

Marshawn Lynch's nickname in my league is "12 Fantasy Points and a cloud of dust". I don't think he's ever scored more than 16 fantasy points. Never scored less than 11. He's consistent I'll give him that. But I just don't think he's capable of that monster game. He sure won't lose games for you, but he's not going to singlehandedly win them either. I'd love to have him as my #2 RB, would hate to have him as my #1

Lynch had never seen snow before last year; I doubt it's reasonable to call him a cold-weather runner.

Well, I was figuring it would have had less to do with Lynch's aptitude for the snow and more to do with Buffalo's commitment to the power run game when it's snowing.Though, it doesn't seem like he got many extra carries in those months.
