Booker is better than Moose...that leaves Bradley and Hester to replace Berrian.....both of which have more talent than him, its just time for them to transition it onto the field.
More talent? Hester is a great return man. I dont think his WR talent is anywhere near Berrians. Bradley? come on.
Who has more Speed Berrian or Hester? hesterBetter change of direction? Hester

Hester ran good routes at the end of the season....for those that don't watch the Bears.

Bradley is a very talented WR that has been riddled with injuries. He had a solid rookie campaign until he tore his ACL and then was injured in camp last year. He is great after the catch and has better size than Berrian. If you haven't seen the Jets game from two years ago in which the Bears won like 10-6. Bradley caught a 8 yard curl and then made a move and ran the last 60 or so yards for the lone TD in the game.

Wasn't Bradley healthy last year? What happened?

They need another WR and I imagine they get it in FA or the draft.

Booker's a nice complimentary WR if the O's clicking.

Bradley living up to his potential would have made all these moves fitting and just a seamless transition. David Terrell probably too. They're not so great at drafting WRs so I hope they go the FA route.

He was injured in training camp and wasn't fully healthy until about mid-season.But he would have to unseat either Berrian or Moose(the vet and leader) because Bradley is not a slot guy....that was Davis.

Bradley has the talent. He came from a JUCO school, then to Oklahoma. He needed time to develop and got injured a couple of times in the NFL. Now he will get his shot.

I also like re-aquiring Booker. Everyone is complaining that the Bears' receiving stable took a downturn when Berrian and Moose left, but I don't think Berrian was all that great and his loss isn't tragic. Yes we'll miss his speed but I won't miss his whopping 5 TDs last year. He's a decent receiver but not worth the money he got from Minnesota. Moose was fine for what he was but Booker is two years younger, I believe, than Moose, so thats a slight upgrade. The Bears still also have a promising young receiver in Mike Haas who i was hoping would make the receiving roatation last year. I'd still like for the Bears to go after Bryant Johnson if he hasn't signed with Buffalo yet. I think Johnson + Booker > Berrian + Moose.

1) Berrian has yet to prove he's a legit #1 in his own right2) Speed and "change of direction" don't an NFL starting wideout make

3) Hester is TINY

4) Hester has questionable hands

Either Jerry Angelo is going to prove once and for all he's a genius or this offense has the makings of ineptitude.

You forgot that Hester can't block eitherAnd when I say Can't, I'm not talking Chad Johnson can't....I'm talking HS JV can't

Who else is left in CHI to catch the ball?
Better question since Miami just lost him (cut him) and he landed in Chicago is:Who is left in Miami to catch the ball? So far, in last 2 yrs, traded away Welker, Chambers, and now Booker. Is Ginn fast enough to play #1 and #2?

I'm thinking Olsen will be a good value pick this year. I do not see a vertical passing game with CHI's WRs so I think the TEs will get plenty of targets.

Hagan, you hijacker.Wilford as stop gap.and I don't care about the Chicago WR this year, the Oline makes everyone useless. I doubt they improve the OLine enough to make their WR/TE's quality an issue.David Carr and his line had Andre Johnson. The receivers looked like soccer goalies trying to catch the ball.

 Booker wasn't traded, Miami outright dropped him and Chicago signed him as a free agent.

Could they not have franchised Berrian and overpaid him for a year? Not ideal, but it would look much better vs. what they've got now.

Moot point since it's done. So: who will get the catches this year for the Bears? Damned if I know. Olsen is better than Clark, but Clark might get more scores. Will any receiver get more TDs than Berrian's 5? I think I'll stay well away from this mess.

I think Rashied Davis is a nice sleeper.
He'll be fine in the slot, but not more. I still root for players like him who make it on determination. Bradley is the big upside pick (that is if the Bears have any sort of passing game to speak of).Im still holding out hope for Mike Hass, and Booker is more like him than any of the other WRs on the roster, so this signing hurts the sleeper campaign I was getting ready to build for Hass.

You can't really tag ANY of the WR's/TE's as "value" or "sleeper" status. Remember who is going to try and throw them the ball this year. It's just down right ugly having to rely on Grossman or Orton to lead that pathetic O.

Bradley-The best on the roster.

Hester-Could be huge.

Olsen

Booker

D.Clark

A.Peterson

Rookie-Kelly would look nice on the Bears. Would also be a top 6 rook pick.

I deem them all sleepers, as I'll be asleep by the first quarter watching the Bears passing game in '08.

Booker is an average signing but they needed someone who can start at this level. Hester is intriguing but I'm more concerned with how his returns will be affected by being on the field as a WR especially later in the season.

Add Mike Hass as someone to keep an eye on.
no thanks...Hass is about as overrated as they come
Huh?? 2nd year player who did not see the field his rookie season and barely anyone outside the state of Oregon has ever heard of him. Overrated?? Cedric Benson in the definition of overrated...not Mike Hass.
