I will say Cassel because he is much much cheaper to get.

Schaub is going to start much sooner.

Talent wise I'd say they are the same. Schaub was a 3rd round draft pick but Cassel damn near beat Leinart for the starting job at USC. Cassel isn't going to start unless the Patriots move him or his contract expires, Brady is 29, but thats still too young to be considering Cassel his future replacement at this point. Maybe 4 - 5 years down the road we can start looking at Brady's backups as potential future replacements but Cassel is just a 2nd stringer on the Patriots (although I do think he's tradeable for the right price)

Schaub got by Green Bay's defense last night FWIW. Plus I don't know why everybody is so excited over a guy who barely cracked 50% completions last season.

Cassell is far more talented (i.e. has a better arm and mobility)... IMO he will fit any system while Schaub must be in a WCO.

My prediction: Schaub ends up in St. Louis in 2007 after Bulger doesn't complete another season.
