Who finishes as the highest FF RB? I have my projections wrapped up entering TC, but want to see how the MB calls it? Standard scoring and 1PPR

Please list your first and second choices in the poll.

Ofcourse this means highest scoring amongst these 5 choices.

PPR it has to be Gore. A good receving back in a Martz offense. Portis 2nd

Non-PPR, Barber then Gore

This is pretty much the question owners are going to face who are drafting in spots 6th through 9 assuming lt2, ap, jackson, westy and addai are your top 5.

I think it's difficult to project Barber as the 6th best back or better because he's unproven in terms of a full year starter. I definately think he has the potential and could be in for a monster year but if I have 1000 dollars on the line, I'd probably take Gore. I like what Martz does with his running backs and I think Gore has more of a shot than Barber to rush for 1500 yards.

I couldn't agree more. That is why I wanted to start this discussion. For upside, I'd rank them:GoreLJBarberPortisLynchHowever, if playing it safe with your 1st rounder, I'd go:BarberGorePortisLJLynchThese will be tough decisions for most, unless you are just high on one player or another.

Really a good poll. I picked Gore (assuming PPR) with Barber to follow. However, I really wouldn't be that suprised to say ANY of these gys end up as 1/2. I like Lynch, no competition for carries and a true workhorse. To be honest, I really also like LJ. I think that with improved line play, the guy could also be a very big surprise this year.

PPR ... i went w/ Gore then Barber

Non-PPR .... Barber then Portis

i don't like Lynch's upside until i see evidence that the Bills offense can score TDs w/ Edwards running the show.

LJ ... i do like his upside and i think he's going to have a nice year. But i have questions about the KC offense, particularly the OL, so I can't see myself talking LJ over Gore, Barber and Portis.

I actually had to go with Lynch here. I think there are fewer questions surrounding him and his circumstance than the others.

Lynch proved he can handle the load last year, and Buffalo will probably take it up a notch this year, most notably in the passing game.

Gore- Ya, Martz is there, but that Niners offense is going to be a work in progress.

Portis- Entirely new coaching staff, led by a former quarterback. Not sure what to expect there.

Barber- I don't really know that his production will change all that much. He'll remain in a RBBC. If Felix proves better than Julius, Barber could see a drop.

LJ- I simply don't trust him, and I don't trust that line. Not to mention the QB situation.

I did go with Gore second.

I'm a little confused. You agree that it's hard to rank Barber as a 6th back yet that appears to be what you're doing on your "playing it safe" list. :goodposting:

I like this poll too.

My order is: MBIII, Portis, Gore, Lynch and then LJ.

Not to hijack, but in a non PPR, where would you throw Moss in....if at all?

In a PPR redraft league, I actually drafted Moss 6th overall in a must start 3 WR league. I think Moss is more of a gaurantee to reach double digit Td's and 1200 yards than any of these guys.In non ppr leagues....it's close for me. If it's still a must start Wr 3 situation, I may still go with Moss as my projections for him are pretty high. If it's only a start WR 2 league, I would be disappointed with the pick because you're not getting your bang for the buck with Moss nor Gore IMO but would make my pick from one of those two still. Opinions will definately vary here on where Moss fits into the first round.

In a Keep 2 PPR league I have to decide on who to keep between Gore, Barber, and LJ and it's killing me. I seem to change opinions day to day.

I gotta go Gore, then MBIII.

As stated, Martz + Gore = Hooray!

I think MBIII will do superb as a starter... granted they are a pass first team, but IMO, MBIII is a beast and should flourish.

Sorry, to clarify, I was agreeing with the fact that it is going to be a tough decision for those in the 6-10 range.

Why are people so high on Gore this year? Remember how last year at this time, everyone on this board was saying how Martz was going to turn Tatum Bell into a monster?

Martz may get too much credit and maybe too much blame for that matter, but I don't think the overall opinion around here was that Tatum Bell was going to tear it up.Remember, we are talking about spot 6 and guys like mb3, Portis, Lynch and LJ where there are question marks about them as well. Nobody in this group is bullet proof.

in my keep 2 PPR league I have to decide between Gore and Barber for one of the spots (the other is ADP). It's driving me nuts. I'm with the OP that Barber is a safe pick - he's part of a great offense, while the Niners' offense could easily collapse.

Although you guys both have some tough decisions, these are good problems to have. I'd keep ADP and Gore since Dallas drafted Jones and we're not fully sure the role Jones will have with the Cowboys and from the above quote I'd keep Gore and Barber and probably let lose LJ since Barber signed the contract with the Cowboys and will be in what looks to be a pretty solid offense here for the next few years where LJ you're just not sure what exactly is going on in KC except that they're rebuilding.
