Ten years ago Glenny, a British investigative journalist, published McMafia, a book that mapped the globalized criminal market and attempted to show how we got to here. The book was published in over 30 languages and was a hit. Now, a decade later, the BBC has turned the book into a mini-series. The show just had it's season finale in the United Kingdom and will be airing across the pond on AMC starting on February 26.

Watched it this morning. I'm always ready to be ultimately disappointed by arching British dramas, but it has all the elements of a top show.

I'll keep watching for now but there were some weak story telling at times imo. It did pick up about 40 minutes in when I was starting to get a little bored.

i'm not looking to get away from it yet, but not that much looking forward to it either. you're spot on. and they shouldna got rid of Uncle Boris so quick

I officially took it off of DVR after watching the third episode.  Show was already trying to juggle so much and then introduced another character with yet another storyline.  Wasn't compelling enough for me to invest in the story.

If you're going to try and do mafia drama with vast storylines and lots of characters, you need a dynamic central lead to tie the whole thing together.  This guy is out acted by his abs
