So I was involved in a wedding over the weekend and the Limo driver was talking about how he had driven McNabb either a week or two prior to this past weekend. He said of all the sports players in the limo, McNabb was, by far, the one with least class. He also talked of how McNabb was wearing HUGE diamond earrings - when someone asked if he was bothered by the fact that he did not have a superbowl ring, he rubbed his earrings with a smile and said he did not care, these were his superbowl rings.

Now, this is complete rumor from a limo driver and may not even be admissable as anything other than that. However, there were several other stories from people who live close to McNabb in the area that speak of his arrogance and lack of passion towards fans and members of the team.

I went to Syracuse with him and played pickup up hoops with him many times. ALso had friends in class with him. This is the exact opposite of what he was in college. From my experiences, I would rate him as one of the most down to earth top flight athletes you can imagine. Much more down to earth than some of the hoops players there (Todd Bergen, this Bud's for you).

Where was this wedding and limo ride? I'd be surprised if it was in Philly.

I don't believe or disbelieve this story, I'm just not sure what it means for me as a fantasy player and a dynasty owner of McNabb in one league. It's plausible simply because McNabb has taken so much criticism and endured so much scrutiny from Philly fans that he's struck me more than anything as having gotten defiant in recent years, and this would just be another example of that.

That's ridiculous. I'm no McNabb fan and I think the question was out of line, and his response was clearly diversionary. He didn't hit the guy so he showed more restraint than some other NFL players might have. How does a normal person respond when questioned about their repeated public failures?

I seem to recall McNabb wearing an earring, but I don't have a pic for you. Regardless, this is such a non-issue even if true that I won't spend any time sleuthing on this.
