Just stop. There are plenty of non Packer fans hyping these two and noone is calling Finley a 1st rounder.
Taking Finley in the first rnd is a shark move. It leaves the option too grab (Oak) Zack Miller later. Basically the team that values the TE pos will pay big if injury strikes. I guess at least you should be able to take best player available and he starts!veryDefinitely bump Rogers/Finley a bit moreDon't know if you can bump Rogers/Finley any higher, their both first round FF picks accounding to the Packer nation.

He didn't speak about it like it was fact. He said something like.... I have an unconfirmed report from Steelers camp today that Mendenhall broke his arm and will be out for 6-8 weeks. There are many posters on here who shouldn't be allowed near a keyboard.Mark Madden shouldn't be allowed near a microphone or twitter account from now till eternity. Pretty awful journalism if he had absolutely no source for this story and spoke about it like it was fact.
My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with the girl who saw Mendenhall pass out at 31 Flavors last night. I guess it's pretty serious.
I'm sure some people think I'm also a "toolbag" because I postulated that there could be room to question the post by a recently joined member. My thoughts had nothing to do with 3-digit members or any of that nonsense. Nor do I think that very valuable information cannot be contributed by people who have joined in the past week or month. My point was that in this specific case the member in question has 12 total posts. The poster has literally ONE Shark Pool post. I completely agree with Ahrn that rumors have a place on this board, but I don't think it's unreasonable to suggest some consideration of the source (in terms of being a member of the FBG community) could be merited. In other words, it's one thing for someone who has been a long-time part of the FBG forums and/or has some kind of track record (dozens if not hundreds of posts in the Shark Pool at a minimum) to spark a significant injury rumor thread. It's something else for someone who has exactly one Shark Pool post to do the same. Another possibility is that this is a recently created alias, and of course no one would ever attempt to throw off known FBG leaguemates by starting a rumor concerning a consensus top 25 player.I'm sorry if I offended some of the members here. That really wasn't my intention. If most of you think no weight at all should be given to the history of contributions of information in the Shark Pool when it comes to serious rumors, then I stand corrected. I thought it was just a little dose of common sense to consider the source -- both Madden and the FBG member.jude said:thanks, toolbag who thinks his member # means his opinions mattertexasheat said:ok 23,738,348,942
Supports the Madden angle. My apologies to HughHoney. The rumor of Steelers running back Rashard Mendenhall breaking his arm today during practice today is just that, a rumor. Free safety Ryan Clark and others have put to rest that rumor as the Steelers did not even work in pads today in preparation for the Sunday night game in Denver. KDKA has also confirmed now that Mendenhall is indeed fine as has ESPN 1250 reporter Ken Laird. The rumor was reportedly fueled by radio talk show host Mark Madden. Steelers spokesperson, Dave Lockett, just confirmed he spoke to Rashard Mendenhall and he is fine.
The only thing left is to see if RM does indeed take the field in Denver, but supposedly that is set to happen.PITTSBURGH (KDKA) ― KDKA's Jory Rand reports that Rashard Mendenhall's agent says that the story that he broke his arm is just a rumor.
The Steelers' public relations department says they have spoken to Mendenhall and he is fine and will play Sunday in Denver.
But KDKA-TV Sports also learned that Mendenhall underwent some tests on his arm.
Those tests are likely the source of this story getting started in the first place, but Mendenhall practiced with the Steelers.
He was seen getting ready to leave their facility on the South Side with no apparent sign of injury and whatever those tests were, it appears they turned out okay because it seems Mendenhall is fine and set to play against the Broncos.
Soooooo, you don't like Mark Madden?Mark Madden is a fat, bloated, overpaid piece of shiz that is often found chasing dancers at strip clubs, he has teeth that look like shattered glass. He is also a huge Penguins "mark" and its that time of year when he wants Steeler attention to turn to the Pens(they start camp soon). He also bad mouthed Jerome Bettis his times in Pittsburgh. Mark Madden is an attention whore who is nothing but a local jack off who gets the idiots to listen to him because he makes fun of people. His best days were 25 years ago. Thank the Lord I got Sirius and dont have to listen to the Pittsburgh dribble that is called radio today. It makes backwoods Kentucky sound like NASA.

Did Finley seriously go in the late first of an FFPC draft tonight? I know the 1.5 PPR scoring boosts TE value, but I think that's still a bit too high for Finley . . . unless, of course, you were kidding and I wasn't smart enough to detect it.Sorry for the hijack. In other news, Mendenhall drops to 2.09 in the 7:00 FFPC draft...and Finley goes in the 1st.Pipes said:Gopher State said:verytexasheat said:Definitely bump Rogers/Finley a bit moreDon't know if you can bump Rogers/Finley any higher, their both first round FF picks accounding to the Packer nation.

Hmm "under went some tests" and "fine" could be consistent... but it seems there might be more to the story too...DBIsports said:http://kdka.com/steelers/Rashard.Mendenhal....2.1883337.html

Agent: Rashard Mendenhall's Arm Not Broken
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) ―
KDKA's Jory Rand reports that Rashard Mendenhall's agent says that the story that he broke his arm is just a rumor.
I'm not sure that's the right assumption to draw from that news, especially with all the posturing and games teams play with the 'real' injury status of players. What time they play tonight? I'd be interested to see if he plays. From KDKA, Pittsburgh CBS TV channel 2

Aug 28, (THAINDIAN NEWS) As per the latest reports, Rashard Mendenhall, the Pittsburgh Steelers’ running back is doing fine and would take to the field on Sunday against the Denver Broncos. Rumors went round the internet on Friday that Rashard Mendenhall had broken his arm during a practice session of Pittsburgh Steelers and that he is at present undergoing tests and treatments for the same. However, late on Friday the agent of Rashard Mendenhall and the public relations’ department of the Pittsburgh Steelers confirmed separately to media sources that the player is doing fine and is expected to join the team on Sunday.
Some media sources speculated that the rumors of Rashard Mendenhall suffering an arm injury started doing the round over the internet and the football circle after some found the player undergoing certain arms tests recently. However, there has been no such report that claims that the tests are in any ways related to an arm injury or breakage. Although the department did not disclose what kind of tests Rashard Mendenhall has gone through, there is no doubt about the fact that the tests have produced no negative results.
On Friday the agent of Rashard Mendenhall confirmed to media sources that the player is doing fine and has suffered no injury. The public relations’ Department of the Pittsburgh Steelers said to media sources that it has personally communicated with the player who has assured of his well being and stated that he would appear on the field on Sunday night. However, anxious fans of Rashard Mendenhall are now waiting for the Sunday night to see their favorite take to the ground.
