Yes...opening day is bigger than Christmas in my home

exact same thing here in my house, has always been dubbed xmas morning as well....the "nights sleep" the night before I think is how it got its name. Merry Ho Ho to all!

I treat opening weekend kickoff like most folks treat the stroke of midnight on New Years. Best day of the year.

Couldn't sleep last night. It felt like when I was a little kid on Xmas Eve, and I've been playing FF for 20+ years. I was telling myself: Go to bed already, you are a grown man!

My girlfriend thought it was weird because I woke up at 6 am this morning and couldn't go back to sleep. I told her it was like Christmas morning I can't go back to sleep because I'm too excited for football to start.

I was on the west coast last year, so it was so cool watching the first set of games at 10am in the morning and still having a Sunday left to do stuff.
