MFL discount working for 2013 season (1 Viewer)

I was going through my early season checklist of things to do for my league, and one of the first things on my list is to take advantage of the footballguys and MFL early bird discounts. Just wanted to let all MFL users know that the footballguys discount is working.

Just renew your footballguys membership (cost me $24.95 - it goes up the later you renew), then after you pay you are re-directed to a footballguys page with a link to a $10 discount for an MFL subscription.

In MFL, click on your 2013 page (you will have to create your 2013 league first), then purchase your league. You will see that the $89.95 price tag has an early bird discount of $20 and a footballguys discount of $10, making it a very reasonable $59.95 for the 2013 season. Hard to beat that price.

Do it now before you forget about it. It's worth paying early. Leaves more money in the prize pool.

Can anyone provide the link to the MFL discount page? I cannot seem to find it this year, and did not have to re-up for another year here, as I already had time on my subscription, so I did not get sent to the page he is referring to above.

Forgot about this, thanks!

Man, $20 early bird, $30 for referring my other league, $10 FBG, total of $29.95.

I can just hear that annoying Progressive chick now. . .

What's the protocol for receiving the FBG discount if you've already renewed your league for the year? Simple email to MFL with league info and FBG subscriber info? Thanks for any help provided.

Yes. They will apply the discount to the next season. I did this last year, as I forgot about the discount 2 years ago.

Last year, I did the same thing. I e-mailed MFL support, and they went ahead and gave me a $10 refund on my credit card right away. That's when I put a specific order of pre-season "things to do" so that I get all of my discounts right away (and done correctly the first time).

Thanks guys, I appreciate the quick feedback!! I'll send MFL support a note and see where it goes from there.

can you refer yourself? i commish 2 leagues and they're both on mfl. i get the early bird and the fbg discount, just wondering if i get to count myself as a referral.

How do I make sure I get the multi-league discount on my 2nd league (and any additional leagues)?

Answer: The multi-league discount should be automatically applied for you after you purchase the first league at the regular price, as long as you are logged into both of your leagues as the commissioner and use the same web browser for both orders (and your browser is set to accept cookies). So go ahead and purchase your first league with the "For Commissioners > $$$ Purchase League $$$" menu item. Then after that is done, do the same thing with your 2nd league. You should see the additional $10 discount reflected on the order form at that time. If not, please let us know.

Sent a support ticket this morning and got a reply within a few hours. They claim they cannot retroactively provide the discount this year and will gladly give it to us next year, and we can still get an additional FBG discount for 2014. I am still trying to get them to refund the discount back to the credit card used for the renewal this year, but either way we will get it.

The only reason I am pressing for the refund this year is that I have proof (above, per TheCommish) that in the past they have refunded retroactively. Maybe they only do it for long-time users of their product? We moved over from CBS in 2009, so we don't have a long track record with them. Even so, MFL is way better than CBS as far as I'm concerned and I have no intentions of going back to CBS. CBS customer service always sucked and they continue to charge way too much for their fantasy services. Funny, I keep getting emails from them to renew my league there even though we haven't been there for 4 years. Their all-enticing promo??......."Hurry, get your FREE Draft Board before they are all gone!!!!"

Anyway, thanks again guys for the helpful info!!!

As I said above, they said the same thing to me 2 years ago as well. And our league has been active on MFL since the 2007 season, so take that as you will.

Forgot about the discount for the 2011 season, they gave me a $10 credit for 2012 and also let me apply the normal FBG discount for 2012, so I only paid $49.95 last year.

Bump.

Last day to get the early discount is today. Be sure to follow the link above and you get a total of $30 off.

Bump it up for the new year - I just got my first league for 59.95 and my second for 49.95, so make sure and take advantage - those two leagues alone paid for my subscription for this year. :)

EDIT: Tomorrow is the last day for early bird pricing, so get those leagues paid up!
