I'm really digging MFL, but I don't think it's easy to set up. I'm trying to set up my waiver wire/free agent system now.
My League Rules are as follows:
Free Agents
A. During the preseason and after the draft, league members are allowed to make free agent acquisitions at any time.
B. During the regular season, league members are allowed to make free agent acquisitions weekly starting Wednesday
at 9:30pm EST and players lock 5 minutes before kickoff of their game.
C. Adding free agents to your team is on a first come, first served basis.
Drops and Waivers
A. Our league uses an Automated Claiming System. The website automatically processes claims starting Wednesday
at 9:00pm EST of every week.
B. When any team drops any player, instead of becoming a free agent, the player is held in stasis on the waiver wire
for 24 hours. While on the waiver wire, owners can place a bid for that player. When the player’s duration on the
waiver wire ends, all claims made for that player are analyzed, and that player is awarded to the highest ranking
team.
C. Each Tuesday morning, the rankings for the week will be established. Waiver Ranking System:
a. First Criteria: Worst to First, Win % (Season)
b. Second Criteria: Worst to First, Points Scored (Season)
c. Virtual Coin Toss
d. When teams are awarded a player, they move to the end of the ranking order.
D. If there are no bids for the player while he is on the waiver wire, he becomes a free agent, and is subject to free
agency rules.
E. A team can add unlimited players per week using the waiver wire system. First ranked team gets one pick, second
gets one pick, etc.., then, serpentine.
(back to front, front to back, repeat)
F. If a player is dropped as a result of the waiver process, he remains on the waiver wire for 24 hours from the time
of the claim process, and is then an unrestricted free agent.
G. If a player’s waiver processing date/time is set to occur after the player’s game for the week has started, the player
is placed on waivers the next week, Tuesday at Noon EST using the full waiver wire duration set above.
Can someone w/ MFL experience take me through how I would set this up? Thanks.
