Michael Bush, RB (1 Viewer)

I figured one of the many Raider fans on this board would've chimed in by if they knew something. Kiffin must be keeping this one as close to the vest as he is who his starting QB will be.

Is there a time today that all NFL team cuts, moves, etc have to be announced? The main reason I ask is because I have a chance to put MBush on the PUP/IR list in a dynasty league. I have to get my rookies/taxi/IR turned in tomorrow.

All cuts have to be in by 5 p.m. today, IIRC.Count on the Raiders being the last to release their cuts. But the information should show up right away in Jerry MacDonald's blog (http://www.ibabuzz.com/raidersblog/).

I agree with Jerry Mac's guess that the PUP is most likely, but I wouldn't rule out Bush making the opening day roster, or even the IR. Bush was a pick with an eye towards 2008, I don't see that things have changed at all.

“We wish the best for all of the players that were released today as there were some difficult decisions that were made. However, we kept the best 53 players for the future success of The Oakland Raiders," said Raiders Head Coach Lane Kiffin.

The Raiders also were forced to make a decision on rookie running back Michael Bush, who spent all of training camp on the physically-unable-to- perform list. He still is recovering from the broken right leg he sustained in college almost a year ago and hasn't participated in a team practice since the Raiders selected him with the first pick of the fourth round of the NFL draft in April.

The Raiders left Bush on the PUP list. Therefore, he isn't eligible to play until after the sixth week. At that point, the Raiders have a four-week window in which they can activate Bush at any time. If he isn't activated by the Tuesday following the 10th week of the season, the Raiders have to cut him or place him on injured- reserve.

As expected, the moves featured a couple of eye-opening transactions. Among them, the Raiders cut veteran running back Zack Crockett, safety Donovin Darius, second- year guard Kevin Boothe and rookie defensive end Quentin Moses.

My god! I could come up with 3 names of players better to cut for each one of the above. Moses! Besides Richardson, he was the best looking young player on defense. Darius! Somebody thinks Schweigart is special. :football: Let me guess, when Russel signs, they'll cut Culpepper.

I expect that they will cut or trade Walter IF Russell signs. At this point, he may not sign and could go back into the draft next year.M. Bush will have a long road back to the field this year. He hasn't practiced at all during OTAs or preseason, so what kind of game shape will he be in when the broken leg is healed? How well will he know the offense? He can't practice with the team while on PUP.
