Michael Bush -- still the key to your fantasy season? (1 Viewer)

Didn't see the Bears game but caught the stats on-line. It certainly looked like Bush had a nice day going. What happened though?

I figured Bush was a lock for 100 yards but see that Bell got 10 carries to his 18...? Was he dinged up?

I did not see the game either but I took it as a product of the score.

This Forte owner is starting LeShoure and Mathews and will continue to wait for the Bush owner to drop him over the bye weeks.

Why would a bush owner ever drop him? For now he is the starting RB and once Forte comes back Bush is the goal line back. Even as the GL back he has value.

Roster squeezes over the bye weeks always cause owners to drop someone(s) they don't want to. 2nd fiddle/GL back certainly could be that guy if the owner is already 3 deep at RB. If he survives the bye weeks on someone else's roster I'll do a WR + Bush for a better WR type of deal, usually works in handcuff situations.

He got hurt. To what extent is unclear and Bears were mum about it after the game but Bush barely played in the 2nd half after taking big hits in the first half and Bell had taken over even when the game was 13-6. If you believe Lovie Smith Bush not playing much in the second half was not due to injury but then again he downplayed Forte's injury too. Bush had only 4 carries in the second half for 6 yards and his last carry came with 10:40 left in the 4th quarter and Bushs only carry in the 4th came when the Bears got near the goaline. The second half should have been typical ground and pound time for Bush so injury is the only thing that makes sense. Smith did admit some players were banged up and that Bush took some big hits.Don't be surprised to see Bush limited or missing practice time this week. Working out Grant may have more to do with Bush than Forte.

No it wasn't Bush only got 4 carries in the second half and the score was 10-6 at the end of the 3rd quarter.
