Michael Bush (1 Viewer)

My apologies if this is the wrong location for this - has anyone heard the status of Michael Bush in OAK? I was just wondering if he has come off the PUP, if the team was leaning towards putting him on IR, if people thought he would be a good player in a keeper league, etc.

I seem to remember a board here with updated info but I can't find it now...thanks for any information.

• Kiffin said he anticipates rookie running back Michael Bush being removed from the physically-unable-to-perform list and added to the 53-man roster. Bush has been on that list since the start of training camp while recovering from a broken right leg sustained in his first game at the University of Louisville last year.

Bush's PUP status

The San Jose Mercury News reports that Physically-Unable-to-Perform RB Michael Bush, a rookie from Louisville, may come off the list soon as he's been looking better and working hard to rehab from a broken right leg. "He's the lowest he's been at his weight for over a year," Kiffin said. "He looks great and he's been buying into our program. He's been great in the weight room with our staff. He looks really good."

Fantasy Analysis

Bush is a big physical runner who would have been a first-round pick had he not broken his right leg in college last season. Bush gained more than 2,300 yards and scored 36 touchdowns for Louisville. He's expected to eventually compete for a spot along the RB depth chart and could be the eventual replacement for LaMont Jordan in Oakland. This season, he's not expected to deliver much statistically. Owners in seasonal leagues shouldn't have him on their rosters, but those in keeper leagues should definitely cast an eye towards him.

Thank you Riflemen and Max Power for the information - I have him in a keeper league and I am hoping he will pan out. I am a bit concerned that he hasn't been activated yet with the less-than-stellar rushing performances by OAK lately. It may be better for the team to get a little better before he starts running the ball.

Again - thanks!

Im keeping a VERY close eye on this...other then Fargas no one is shining in that run game, and Bush could be just the guy to shut the door on the competition
