Michael Scheuer calls Geraldo Rivera a dummy and a clown (1 Viewer)

Raider Nation

Devil's Advocate
Scheuer had an interesting appearance Friday morning on Fox & Friends, to say the least.

I was thinking about uploading the entire clip, but it's almost 15 minutes long. Kind of a pain in the ###. So I'll recap what's not in the link below. This news broke yesterday:

Just 10 hours before the attacks of September 11, 2001, where nearly 3000 innocent people perished at the orders of Osama bin Laden, ex-President Bill Clinton was in Australia saying he had a chance to take the former al-Qaeda leader out — but passed.

At the time, bin Laden was lesser known to the general public but was on the FBI's Most Wanted list for his role in the 1998 attacks on U.S. embassies in Kenya and Tanzania. Clinton was in Melbourne, speaking to a small group of business leaders on Sept. 10, 2001, and he was asked about terrorism.

"I’m just saying, you know, if I were Osama bin Laden — he’s a very smart guy, I've spent a lot of time thinking about him — and I nearly got him once,” Clinton says in the recording. "I nearly got him. And I could have killed him, but I would have to destroy a little town called Kandahar in Afghanistan and kill 300 innocent women and children, and then I would have been no better than him. And so I just didn't do it."

The recording was lost and forgotten about until last week, when Michael Kroger, the former head of the Liberal Party in the Australian state of Victoria, remembered he had the tape, and Sky News in Australia played it on Thursday.
So F&F had Scheuer on to discuss this. He disputed Clinton's claim, flat-out calling him a liar, a coward, and a disgrace.

Then Geraldo got involved... (scroll to the video)

Yes - we should definitely trust that the CIA guy is telling the truth. God knows they wouldn't lie.

So if Scheuer's claim is inaccurate, I guess we have to figure out why Clinton valued the lives of 300 people in Kandahar over thousands of Americans?

Yes - that was definitely the choice he made. When he was President. In the 90s.
Yeah, a guy he seriously considered killing was certainly not viewed as a threat to us. :loco:

Former President Bill Clinton said he "could have killed" Osama bin Laden in remarks to an audience in Australia the day before al Qaeda's 2001 attacks on the United States, according to an audio tape that emerged this week. The 9/11 Commission Report recounts an episode in December 1998 where Clinton's administration considered a cruise missile strike to kill bin Laden, the Saudi Arabian founder of al Qaeda, after learning he would be in Kandahar. The strike was not launched because of a fear that perhaps 300 other people could be killed or injured, the report says.

Also I have no idea how you search this forum. I try all the parameters and I get three pages, two from 2014 and one from 2007.

How much do they pay for this ####? $15 a year?

Weren't the 20 dudes, Atta specifically, already planning the 9/11 attack in '98? And wouldn't killing Osama just have made the next guy say yes to the plan with more ardour?
