Fox Sports' John Czarnecki reports the New York Giants did a classy thing and restored the $2 million taken from DE Michael Strahan's base salary this season. Strahan finished with 11½ sacks last year, but he needed 12 to keep the $2 million. Strahan actually got the sack he needed, but the Giants accepted a penalty on the play, negating the sack. Very nice gesture by GM Ernie Accorsi.

Its not as if Strahan would have been hurting financially either way.

Unless you play for Cincinnati. Back in 2002 Jon Kitna would have received a $1.6M bonus if he appeared in 80% of the team's offensive snaps. In the end, he appeared in 79.9% of the offensive snaps. Bengals president Mike Brown elected not to award the bonus.
