Here is how I see the draft shaping up....hopefully no outside interference, just looking at what I believe are a team's immediate needs and who would best fit those needs (in most cases!).

1) Houston - Need WR, OG, CB, - With every draftable player available to them, the Texans' will likely take the player with the fewest questions while possessing the most upside. He doesn't fill any need, but should put butts in the seats and make most Houston games fun to watch. Reggie Bush - USC

2) New Orleans - Need LT, LB - I think New Orleans is moving away from QB with the signing of Brees, and need to protect their latest acquisition's blind side. This pick fills a need and makes Brees' life a little easier. D'Brickashaw Ferguson - Virginia

3) Tennessee - Need QB(?), C - I believe the Titans will move McNair sooner rather than later and need to find a replacement ASAP. Vince Young reminds most of Steve McNair, but the Titans need a QB who can come in immediately and start if necessary. Matt Leinart - USC

4) NY Jets - Need QB, RB, DE - The Jets would love for Leinart to fall to them, but then they'd have to choose between the QB they covet and the DE they need. The loss of Abraham forces their hand in this case. Mario Williams - N.C. State

5) Green Bay - Need QB(?), WR(?), LB - Brett Favre's indecision is potentially playing havoc with the Packers draft. Do we need to look at one of the top QBs? Can we focus on another area of need? I think Favre comes back and the Pack shores up the defense. A.J. Hawk - Ohio State

6) San Francisco - Need WR, DE, CB, RB(?) - With more holes than a sieve, the Niners are probably content to take the best player available that fills a need. The only problem is no player at a need position should be taken this high. They turn to the next best thing, a TE who plays like a WR. Vernon Davis - Maryland

7) Oakland - Need OG, DL, LB, S - The Raiders need a lot of help, especially on the defensive side of the ball. A DT is the ideal choice if I'm managing the organization, but we all know Al Davis loves players with upside and potential. Fans cheer as the QB of the future is selected. Vince Young - Texas

8) Buffalo - Need WR, TE, DT - The Bills have got to get better stopping the run, and the best place to start is on the defensive line. With Ngata slipping (and growing!) the Bills take a stopper to put in the middle of their D-Line. Brodrick Bunkley - FSU

9) Detroit - Need LB, S, WR(?) - After shoring up the offensive side of the ball the last few years in the first round, Matt Millen better start focusing on defense. He finally gets it this year. Michael Huff - Texas

10) Arizona - Need OG, TE, S, QB - The Cardinals filled a pressing need by signing Edgerrin James away from the Colts, so this pick doesn't necessarily have to fill an immediate need. Kurt Warner is a short-term solution at best, so the Cardinals draft his eventual successor. Jay Cutler - Vanderbilt

11) St. Louis - Need DE, LB, CB - The Rams have plenty of holes to fill on defense, and have the luxury of having a couple players to choose from to help fill a need. I think they fill the DE and LB needs later and get a cover corner in round one. Jimmy Williams - Virginia Tech

12) Cleveland - Need OT, DT, LB, S - The Browns brought in big Ted Washington to help their 3-4 succeed, but he can't play forever. The Browns are thrilled to see a player in the same mold fall to them here. Haloti Ngata - Oregon

13) Baltimore - Need RT, DT, OLB - For a team whose defense was once the most feared, age has taken a toll. Boller has proven he can throw a ball 50+ yards from his knees, so defense again takes priority in round one. Ernie Sims - Florida State

14) Philadelphia - Need WR, S, LG, RT - The Eagles still have a pretty solid team top to bottom, but could use a few upgrades. The loss of T.O. is both a blessing and a curse, but Jabar Gaffney is not the answer either. All that said, keeping McNabb healthy is priority one. Winston Justice - USC

15) Denver - Need WR, OG, TE, RB(?) - The Broncos are beginning to enter a rebuilding mode with age catching up to a lot of their top players. Shanahan is an expert at finding gems at RB late in the draft, so they shore up another offensive skill position in round one. Chad Jackson - Florida

16) Miami - Need OG, LB, CB, S - The Dolphins may have solved their QB carousel with the signing of Culpepper, but when will he be able to start? The more pressing need is on defense, especially once you get past the front four. One spot is improved here. Tye Hill - Clemson

17) Minnesota - Need QB, OLB, RG - The Vikings moved Culpepper in favor of Brad Johnson, but unfortunately the big three are already off the board. Linebacker is an area of concern, but not for long. Chad Greenway - Iowa

18) Dallas - Need QB, FS, C, ILB - The Cowboys signed the biggest name in free agency in Terrell Owens, but how much will he help off the field? The defensive secondary is adequate, but no real cover guys. The Cowboys address that need in round one. Donte Whitner - Ohio State

19) San Diego - Need WR, OG, LB(?), S - The Chargers lost their starting QB to the Saints, but feel they have a capable backup in Philip Rivers. The receiving is okay (outside Gates), but should be improved with this pick. Santonio Holmes - Ohio State

20) Kansas City - Need WR, DL, MLB, CB - The Chiefs have an extremely potent offensive attack, but can't stop anybody on defense very often. The D-Line needs the most help, and they get a speed rusher here. Manny Lawson - N.C. State

21) New England - Need WR, RT, RB, CB - The Patriots are looking to ascend back to the moutaintop again, but they need some help, especially on offense. DeAngelo Williams - Memphis

22) San Francisco - Need WR, DE, CB, RB(?) - The Niners got Alex Smith some help earlier this round, now they focus on the defensive side of the ball. Thrilled to see this guy still on the board, they grab him in a heartbeat. Jonathan Joseph - South Carolina

23) Tampa Bay - Need OG, CB, DT - Tampa Bay was known for its defense just a few years ago, but people get older and the Bucs are proof of that. They need to get someone who can play in the secondary ASAP, and they think this is their guy. Antonio Cormartie - Florida State

24) Cincinnati - Need RT, S, DT, TE - The Bengals have improved in leaps and bounds over the last couple years, but Marvin Williams won't be happy until they are the best. As a defensive minded coach, look for Williams to address that side of the ball, later. In round one, they make the offense better. Marcedes Lewis - UCLA

25) New York Giants - Need LB, S, WR - The Giants just acquired LaVar Arrington, which helps shore up one area of concern for them. Unfortunately, they still need some more. DeMeco Ryans - Alabama

26) Chicago - Need TE, OLB, DT - The Bears muddled the QB situation even more with the signing of Brian Griese, but they should have focused on other areas of more immediate need. Unfortunately, nobody on the board presents value at the need areas, so they go with an area of concern. Ashton Youboty - Ohio State

27) Carolina - Need LT, TE, RB - The Panthers defense is still very stout, so any major improvements will be on the offensive side of the ball. DeShaun Foster just got a new contract, but will he make it through the season? The Panthers shore up their RB situation in round one. Laurence Maroney - Minnesota

28) Jacksonville - Need WR, TE, DE - The Jaguars would love to land a receiver this late in round one, but no one is worth this high a pick of who is left. They turn their attention to a player dropping on most boards, but produced well at Boston College. Mathias Kiwanuka - Boston College

29) New York Jets - Need QB, RB, DE - The Jets addressed their need at DE earlier, and now focus on other areas. Curtis Martin can't play forever, and this pick insures the future at that position for the Jets. LenDale White - USC

30) Indianapolis - Need OG, RB, LB, CB - The Colts had all the pieces in place for a dynasty-like run and couldn't get it done. Now, Edgerrin James is gone and the team sees it's window of opportunity a little tighter to fit through. The Colts would love to have had a shot a Maroney or White, but they settle for a linebacker who can help right away. Bobby Carpenter - Ohio State

31) Seattle - Need DT, RG, RT, CB - The Seahawks look to defend their NFC crown, but took a big hit when Steve Hutchinson left for the Vikings. The secondary also took a hit with the departure of Andre Dyson. Look for the Seahawks to replace Dyson here. Richard Marshall - Fresno State

32) Pittsburgh - Need WR, RB(?), DE - The defending Super Bowl champs will have to endure a season with Jerome Bettis for the first time in a long time. Willie Parker played great, but is he a one-year wonder? The Steelers also lost Antwan Randle-El in the offseason, but they find his replacement at the end of round one. Sinorice Moss - Miami (FL)

Decent mock..thanks.

Ome point of order.

This is a joke right.....no real cover guys.

Anthony Henry and Terrance Newman make up one of the better CB combo's in the league. I agree Roy Williams is not a coverage specialist, however if you add a Ball Hawking FS. Well...this is probably the best secondary in Football.

I don't believe the Cowboys address the FS position until the 2nd/3rd round. I believe it will be a LB.

Nice job....

If Winston Justice makes it to 13 the Ravens will have the card in before Paul Tags. announces that the Ravens are on the clock. They won't pass on Justice....

Problem with Anthony Henry is that he just can't seem to stay healthy.

I have seen numerous mocks with the Jets taking Mario Williams. If the Jets are serious about converting to a 34 defense, would Mario be the best fit for them?I think a 43 team will make a more to trade up and Jets will move down some. My guess is Detroit since their new coach was Tampa's former DL coach and Jets would still be in position to take Cutler (ie ahead of Arizona).

21) New England - Need WR, RT, RB, CB
Small point, but I don't think the Pats need a RT. Rookie Nick Kazcur did a respectable job at LT last season filling in for Matt Light, and he should be able to hold the fort at RT this year.

I agree that LB should be first pick with either Kamerion Wimbley or Manny Lawson. If neither of them guys than i hope they draft a FS or OTShould be fun to watch as always on Saturday

If Mangini wants to run a similar defense as they did in NE, they will morph between a 3-4 and a 4-3 throughout the game to keep the offense guessing. Williams has the size speed to be effective in both fronts.
