Does anyone have any information on Mike Bells injury? I know they moved him to the FB postion because of Travis and Selvin but with the iminent departure of Henry what is the chance of Bell being moved back to tailback?

I just read on orangemane.com that there were several trade offers on the table for Bell... Wonder if they will stillpull trigger. If they really like Hall and Young as much as a few denver homers think they do, they might.

Hmmm.....did they speculate where he would go?

He had a concussion and is participating in practice fully as of Thursday.

I think the "trade offers" were speculation pieces by beat writers. I do not believe Denver has been shopping MBell around.

They shopping him a week or 2 before the season started...... I like Bell to become the short-yardage / GL Back with Henry getting the boot.

Running back Bell unlikely to be dealt

A few teams uncomfortable with their tailback depth placed calls to the Broncos this weekend.

These teams noticed how the Broncos have moved Mike Bell to fullback. In 21st-century football, tailbacks carry the ball while fullbacks generally do not. Bell rushed for eight touchdowns and a 4.3 yard-per-carry average as a rookie backup last season.

Other teams wondered: Would the Broncos be interested in trading Bell?

Not likely. The Broncos want Bell to rotate with Cecil Sapp at fullback with the No. 1 offense. And they also want Bell as tailback protection.

"You get people that go down and the halfback's got to play the fullback position," coach Mike Shanahan said after the preseason game Thursday against Arizona. "We've seen that happen here with a number of players - Reuben Droughns to name one. Mike Anderson could play both."

I think you may have been hearing the rumors that Detroit is possible looking at Tatum Bell trade offers. Somewhere I read that with KJ back healthy and Duckett getting better, they may look to motivate/trade Tater Tot elsewhere.ETA: MLive.com suggests that Tatum Bell could be on the trading block.Kevin Jones and T.J. Duckett are healthy, and the Lions' backfield is pretty full even after losing Brian Calhoun for the season. The Broncos might have interest in bringing Tatum back for the right price, although that's speculation. Green Bay runs a zone-blocking system similar to Denver's and could make a play. Cincinnati could also use another runner.

This doesn't appear to be so accurate after recent quotes and they signed Aveion Cason to replace Calhoun. Apparently they want a particular number of backs on the roster.Feel free to google for quotes and more info
