I have him, but with the talk in the other thread of the "hockey line" defense, should I look elsewhere? Also have C.Griffin, but not to happy with his knee acting up already. I thought Patty had a good week one with 5 points in my league. Just wondering what people thought of his value for the year.

I have both him and Wroten (my DT of the future) on my mandatory start-one DT league (you can start two if you like, but that's a flex position, and I tend to start a LB or S.) We have 40-man rosters and 14 teams.

Until Wroten gets up to speed Patterson is my starter. I view Patterson as a borderline starter who is likely to finish the year anywhere from DT12-DT18 or so. It's a weakness on my team, but he's "good enough" for me to start.

Maybe he'll do better than that as an UT in an aggressive defense, but it's hard to tell at this point.

I should add that my league is weighted towards sacks:

4 pts per sack

1 pt per tackle

.5 pts per tackle assist

In a league favoring tackles more relative to sacks, Patterson's value should improve a bit.

I like Patterson a lot. Eagles are just trying to get all there playmakers on the field. I don't see him ever leaving the "top line" except for injury. Eventually he & Bunkey will eb the top line, but for now, Bunkley needs to get thru 1 season.
