Matt Leinart discusses BMW and has some revealing commentsHere's a partial transcript from this afternoon's conference call with Cardinals QB Matt Leinart. It deals with questions about Leinart's former teammate, and current Lions receiver, Mike Williams. I think people who are on both sides of the Williams' debate will find it interesting. What do you think about Mike Williams and his situation up here?“I’m not really sure what’s going on with the situation, but I know Mike from college and he was the most dominant – besides Reggie (Bush) – the most dominant player I played with. He just took over games with his size and he’s just an incredible player. I’m not quite sure what happened or what went wrong but I know he’s got tons of potential. I don’t know everything but he’s one of the best players I’ve seen in college – anyone can tell you that. You guys know how he was in college, he was unbelieveable. It’s tough, I feel for Mike and I hope he can turn everything around and he can be a contributor or whatever team he’s on.’’Was he lackadaisical in college?“Mike was Mike. He practiced … he showed up on Saturdays, he showed up on game day and he was the best player on the field every Saturday the year I played with him. I’m not going to sit here and talk ‘Mike’s my boy’ … I haven’t talked to him in awhile. He was my teammate in college and he was a great football player.’’The knocks on him here are his work ethic. Did he have to work that hard in college when you’re that talented?“I know you can get away with it in college when you’re that talented, as far as practicing and even in games. Yeah, you can definitely get away with it. I’ve learned in the NFL, if you are lazy or you take days off in practice or don’t go full speed, it’s going to affect your game on Sundays. That’s something I’ve realized. I just hope Mike will turn it around.’’
