Btw a friend of mine works for the Royals.  He said he needs to start scouting softball pitchers.....lol.  he was joking

I wasn't going to post Odubel Herrara stuff here because it's not really intentional shtick, but it's too funny not to. If you're not familiar with him, you need to start paying attention. He's must watch TV.

Posted this one the other day... Odubel Herrera doesn't just run through stop sign, he runs AROUND stop sign and gets thrown out by 30ft. :lmao:   Follows that up by getting picked off at 3rd the next night. Philly phans now booing him at every opportunity.   :lmao:

This one from last night was awesome. Odubel is the only guy in baseball that flips his bat for walks. Last night he flipped it to the wrong dugout:lmao:  They had to holdup the game to have the opposing batboy retrieve the bat. I wish they had video of the look on Justin Bour's face.  :lmao: :lmao:

Odubel Hererra executes perfect bat flip... and gets a double  :lmao:  ... later in the game, he hit a HR, made a spectacular diving catch in CF and then guessed so badly on a pitch that he literally fell down in the batter box. Just another day at the park for doobs.

Does the scorekeeper actually need to change the position every batter? There are numerous shifts where 3B play on the other side of 2B and the SS stays put through out the league. Just curious.

I think they do.  Or at least that's why I think Rizzo is now 2B eligible in my fantasy league.

This was not just shifting one player. They actually were swapping positions.

According to the MLB rule book, official scorers don't have to make exceptions for shifts, but this was an extreme case.

When he was a young boy, his mom took him to the police station to scare him into wearing his seat belt. When a cop asked for his name, he gave a fake one because he thought he couldn’t be arrested that way. He gave them the name of his favorite Muppet Babiescharacter.

:lmao:

West Coast games  that are still going at 5 am eastern time. @Raider Nation was probably up still watching.

The National League-leading Dodgers lost their 11th straight game for the longest skid since the club moved to Los Angeles, finishing their 8-6 defeat to the San Francisco Giants at 2:10 a.m. local time Tuesday morning after a pair of rain and lightning delays late Monday.

Had the pleasure of watching Brent Suter in a ST game yesterday and he has some pretty interesting shtick going. His fastball only tops out at 86 mph, but he's been successful by making batters uncomfortable with his "pace of play". As soon as he receives the ball, he's ready to throw, and batters just aren't used to it. Apparently he's a Harvard grad who is always looking for and edge and spends hours studying hitters so he's prepared to attack them the second they walk into the box.

Interesting read on Suter

Last year in a game, Suter had quickly retired 10 straight Yankee batters to start the game, so Aaron Judge decided to mix things up by not breaking his batting stance between pitches and it seemed to rattle Suter. Good stuff.

I wish everyone would work that quickly.  I would probably watch more games.

If I was Bochy I would do everything I could to get Derek Holland hurt too, but when 40% of your starting rotation is already on the DL before the spring is done, and you choose to not to use the DH in an exhibition game..... that's quality shtick

Holland got a base hit.

Boch knows things.

@JeffPassan

Trevor Bauer wanted to be paid $6,420,969.69 this year. When he won a higher salary in arbitration, he hatched a plan: He would donate the difference to charity in $420.69 increments. The story on @BauerOutage's newest initiative, The 69 Days of Giving: https://yhoo.it/2E2GTNJ

The dude on MLB network talking heads show said Ian Happ would hit first homerun on 2018.  I think he was right.  It may have been Smoltz or Ron Darling.  I have had in on for 48 hours straight!
