MLB Uniforms -- Best to Worst (1 Viewer)

Don't agree with that list. All preference of course. I like the Twins, Reds and Indians uniforms way too low on those... Nationals too. Oakland too high, mets too high.

Royals, A's and Cubs should be the top three, St Louis and Philadelphia way overrated (especially Philadelphia who should be bottom 5). Giants and Reds probably a little low and Cleveland is exactly where they should be.

Cubs over the yankees? Get bent. This stupid list is controarian for contrarians sake. M

The Yankees are plainly tops. Pibstripes( the first btw) and road greys. No names. While this dope romanticizes the "classic" cardinals, the Yankees were the Yankees when the cards were wearing light blue pajamas on the road. Pullovers, changing hats and logos on the lid.

If you have to cast an anti Yankee vote, give me the dodgers. The little red number on the front is pure class. They just look good out there.

His only selection I did like was Oakland, great unis. The mets, as mentioned, well, which ones? The core uni sums up the whole organization, a mish mash of input that pleases no one while trying to serve all masters (giants orange and logo, dodger blue and yankee pinstripes). Ditto the blue jays as someone mentioned above.

And I saw a clip of the cream colored cleveland alternate and though it was grwat(braves also have a cream alternat and it's wonderful).

Minny also very underrated. Love the pinstripe road unis, though I don't know if they still wear those.

You Yankee fans hate not being called #1 don't you?

Personally I think Yankees are top-5, but I like the Cards, Cubs, Dodgers and Royals all better.

The universe does exist outside of the Bronx.

But this isn't a case of our typical arrogance. That Yankee uniform IS baseball.

Tigers behind Mets, Phillies and Blue Jays is terrible, those teams change unis every other year. I dont even know what uni is their uni.
 Other than adding an alternate in 2009, the Phils have had the same unis since 1992.
And they've been continuously terrible since 1883.
Terrible, really? Why don't you like them, what's so terrible about the current ones?
I actually love all the jerseys from the Schmidt era

Stereotypical anti Yankee bias. The common thread amongst all three of the other sports top positions are classic, iconic and simple... whats more iconic, classic and simple than the Yankees uniform?

Thanks to an extremely reliable source, SportsLogos.Net News can confirm that the Houston Astros will be changing their colour scheme back to blue and orange for the 2013 season. This information comes on the heels of Astros’ owner Jim Crane saying last week that the new uniforms will be borrowing elements from their past designs but with a modern twist.

The return to blue and orange for the first time in 20 years is just one of the major brand changes planned for the soon-to-be American League club heading into next season.

In addition to the colour scheme making a return, the old cap logo from the 1980s will be back as well, albeit in a modernized form. The logo featured a white H on an orange star and was originally worn from 1965-1993. For 2013, the "H" will be in a different font.

They look like someone took a giant #### on a flag. The burgundy color scheme worked much better, 1910 and 1990 version the only ones that don't completely suck IMO

most beautiful ever.My great aunt worked at the stadium and i got to go into the locker room with her. Schmidt, Carlton, Rose, Lusinski, Tug.....wow.

Mike gave me one of his cracked bats. One of my most cherished possessions.

One of the best memories of my life.

First of all, what do you like about the Cubs over the Yankees? The color scheme is terrible and the pinstripes are modeled on the Yankees. For a historic franchise, there has been little consistency and their current look is pedestrian. The Cards are ok, but in the red scheme of uni's, the Reds are much better for my money. The sleeveless jersey added some great distinction and is a great look. No argument on the Dodgers, who I advocated for, or the Royals, who are somewhat modeled on the Dodgers, but still a nice clean neat look. I actually almost spoke up for them, and were I them, I'd go back to the road blues, as they were original, distinctive and stylish. As silly as the CARDINALS, looked in blue uniforms, thats how great the Royals looked in theirs. I love for teams to have as much personal flourish as possible in a baseball framework. I'm sure there is some bias here, but really, as Thunderlips mentioned, the goalposts of style move for the Yankees. You just can't argue with their style and consistency from a baseball fan perspective. Great, clean lines in logo and font, a statement in the lack of player names, no alternates, no pullovers, no BS. A great uni.

Agree totally. Did anyone ever look better in a baseball uniform than Bo?:no homo:

 Ok I guess that's one way of looking at them. I'm not defending them, I think there kind of meh, the homes remind me of pajamas, I like the gray roadies better. I think the alternate ivory unis are pretty sweet though. And agree on the Schmtty era, especially the road powder blues.

The Yankees road greys are extremely extremely average. Sorry. If this were a thing to just pick the one best individual jersey, then I could see your point. Their homes are great. As for the Cubbies, their home, road and alternates are all great.

To each their own but I don't see a particular aesthetic pizzaz in their road unis, particularly as compare to the yanks. I will say this, l loved the solid blue top road jersey with grey pants from the 80s. And wrigleyville has the best fan generated t shirts I've seen in baseball. Love the "W" incorporation too.

The reds got hosed. Their red jersey uni's are some of the best uni's out there. They should at least be top 10. Yankees and Royals should both be higher and A's should be #1. Cards and Cubs top 2 are both weak.

FOX just showed the results of the MLB Player Poll for best uniforms. The top half dozen:

1) Yankees (14%)

2) Giants (11%)

3) Blue Jays (9%)

4) Mariners (8%)

5) Braves (6%)

6) Dodgers (5%)

That OP

The Giants got short-changed. Their home ivory jerseys, in particular, are outstanding.
Glad to see the players know what's up. Being #17 on the list in the OP is a joke.
The OP was pretty solid, imo.SF was a travesty, of course, they've got some great uni's.WAS doesn't have the best uni's in the league, but they certainly aren't a bottom 5 uni. Love the W.Other than that, I think analysis is mostly spot on. Particularly TOR and HOU.When I first saw the HOU uni's, I remember thinking, "wow, those are sharp", but it felt odd for HOU to have them, as I prefer them in something a little ridiculous. To HOU's credit, of the teams trying to fake classy only to end up incredibly boring (MIL, SD, HOU), I think HOU did the best job of it. At least it's not the stupid Bagwell to Clemens era HOU uni's. Those things were awful. If HOU is intent on not bringing the rainbow's back, these new ones are about as good as they are going to get. It's not a TOR sized makeover, but it's not far off either.Actually, all of this probably means I disagree with HOU's ranking.
