So what I've learned in the past two fantasy seasons is that you shouldn't ever spend a mid first-rounder on a RB based on a half-season of stud-level production the prior year, except when you should.

Exactly the type of mantra that misleads many. Glad I didn't buy into this warning. Tried to get D. Johnson on all of my teams. Able to do so in 4 but the other 4 I had late picks. Glad I have some stock into this outstanding talent at RB.

Powell is the preferred receiving back. But ever since that game where they gave Forte a ridiculous 30+ carries he's been much les effective while Powell has looked great. 

Definitely a fluid situation.
