MOMO is listed #1 (1 Viewer)

I don't find this as a major surprise. He has proven to be a capable runner and there is nothing that excites me with J. Jones running the ball.

RBBC, someone has to be listed as the #1.
True, but I find id a good thing for Morris that he is listed 1st. Jones is going in drafts way before him, yet Morris is listed 1st. From what I have watched too, MOMO is the better back. I got him in the 10 round in both my leagues and I think he will out produce JJ.

Drafted him in a couple leagues late, going to the Julius owner right now to try to get a deal done. I can't imagine ever starting him personally.

I thought he pretty much proved he wasn't last season
Last season Alexander did not play weeks 10, 11, 12.MoMo's stats:

Week 10

Rushing: 87 yards, 1 TD

Receiving: 16 yards

Week 11

Rushing 87 yards, 1 TD

Receiving: 19 yards

Week 12

Rushing: 79 yards

Receiving: 5 yards

Is Mo Mo a decent receiver? With the problems @ WR right now, I imagine there may be more dumpoff passes than usual if the RBs can catch.

MoMo is an okay receiver. I got him as the 3rd Seahawks RB off the board in Round 7, 12-teamer. Somebody seriosuly reached for Justin Forsett, and everyone else went "who? " - I knew who he was but was in shock. So after I explain who he is, the next guy responds taking Jones - "He's the starter." Two picks pass. At this point, as a Seahawks fan, I feel compelled to take Morris for depth, because he's one of the last significant RB's on the board who could be a starter. 3 Seahawks RB's in 5 picks.

Craziness.

Got MoMo in rounds 9, 12 and 14 in twelve team leagues.I have blabbered on and on about how he is the steal of the draft for 2008. See my numerous posts for other thoughts.

Morris is a pretty good receiver and the Seahawks will use a lot of screens this year. It's a RBBC but Morris will get his chances and probably won't be a bad bye week play or a decent guy to use in weeks the Hawks have a good match-up, especially in PPRs.

I can not speak to how they have done in camp other than what I have heard which he has looked the best of the three. What I do know is that both Duckett and Jones have had ample opportunities to prove they can be the guy and both failed miserably. Also whatever you think of Jerry Jones I don't think anyone can argue that he is a shrewd businessman and for an owner seems to know how to evaluate talent. He and the staff obviously have seen enough years of Jones to make the decision that he is not a #1 guy, they didn't resign him and drafted another RB high. One last thing neither he or Duckett are exactly the picture of durability.

For where Morris is going I think he will

A) Be the larger part of a committee that will get a lot of carries and a good amount of passes with their WR corp in bad shape

B) Jones/Duckett play themselves out of a job or get injured giving Morris a majority of the carries.

Added Bonus: They will be playing some of the worst rush defenses in the league twice

I got him in round 15 of an 18 round draft...one of the last players I took before my K and Def

I think it is pretty significant that Morris was named the starter. Jones was brought in to be "the guy", & was given every opportunity to do it. It would have been very easy for the Seahawks to leave Jones as the #1 & just go with the RBCC everyone is expecting. Morris had to really outplay Jones to take the spot, which he did. If things continue like preseason, Morris' share will continue to grow throughout the season. Not a decent start yet, but he could be by week 5 or 6.

Has he really been named the starter? All this is a depth chart buried on the team web site. Have searched Google and no where can I find Morris is the starter.

You're kidding right. Do a search on here for Morris and Starter and you will find numerous links.

For some reason, you come off sounding a little biased. Maybe it is the fact that you have 3 references to Texas in your avatar and you are claiming that JJ is actually a co-starter. It just strikes me as odd.

So what, is everyone around here supposed to provide only unbiased opinions? The fact that the board is full of unbiased and biased opinions is part of what makes this board great. It's the professionals who work for the media who are supposed to be unbiased, not us. I don't see a single thing odd about his post. Additionally, it may turn out that he's right. We'll just have to wait til the Seahawks take the field.
