Moore, David Nelson, Decker, McCluster, Oh my! (1 Viewer)

Assuming McCluster is listed as a WR..

Who is the waiver wire pick with the most upside?

Who is safest?

What would you do if you had the option between the four?

1 - Moore

2a - Decker

2b - Nelson

3 - McCluster

in that order. Moore could be a stud WR if he has another big week. Decker looked good, Nelson looked really good as well, and McCluster is on the Chiefs so why even take that chance.

:jealous: none of those four are available in my $$ leagues

But I would definitely take Decker - the Broncos (at least early with Orton) have to throw a lot and now Royal will be out for 2-4 weeks meaning Decker for sure is starting each week - would be WR1 if Lloyd was out again (which I doubt)

I'm in a per league so I rank them...

Nelson

Decker

Moore

McCluster

I'll be happy to score any of them though. Dropping Steve Smith PHI... I I know he could still emerge in that offense but I like the upside with these guys a tad more.

I think Decker takes the top spot, he has both the talent and the situation to secure a long term starting position.

Kind of a tie with Nelson and Moore, immediately I see bigger numbers from Moore, but once the WR's are healthy in Oakland his situation becomes more iffy. Nelson would be the grab if you are looking for rest of the season value.

Avoid all players in KC.

The thing about Moore that gets me as a possible future problem is.... the return of Ford, the return of Murphy, plus Oakland never seems to commit to the pass and all their receivers get bunch up on the stat line. On the other hand you've got a guy who Raider fans & beat writers said would blow and then sure enough he does everything they said he would, a sure sign of good things to come.

I'm prioritizing Nelson in the one league where I passed on him (unbelievable) as a hedge for Stevie Johnson who's on my roster seems dinged up.

I already prioritized and got Decker in more than one league.

McCluster is really interesting, no telling how many carries he will get but that's a tempting add-on for any WR.

Surprised at all the McCluster hate. I know their offense has looked awful, but it's only been 2 games. He's my #1 WW claim for this week. PPR league where I can play him at WR.

Nelson plays with a good qb (never thought i'd say that about fitzpatrick) and Chain Gailey tends to use his slot receivers alot. I like Nelson to have solid ppr value, plus he's 6-5, so red zone target. Also, Stevie J seems to be complaining more and more about that groin. I think he misses a week or two at some point (just an educated guess.) After that I'd go Decker who does have talent BUT I think the Broncos at some point will give some one besides orton (Tebow?) a shot because they will probably be out of the playoff race by week 10. If you're looking for a flash in the pan tho, and not a season long breakout, then Decker could and should be your guy. I also like Moore but am hesitant on any rookie wr. He certainly had that "wow" factor vs the Bills.

Last Oakland that was top 30? This came up earlier this month...think it was Jerry Porter.

Like Moore, but he's a rook, a rook with an erratic QB, a rook with an erratic QB with competition returning from injury at some point. Ford and Murphy are enough to limit, but then you have crazy Al insisting DHB is a talent, get over it, he's gonna play.

I like Decker - talent + situation, the guy coming back has a serious groin injury and has been an underperformer for two plus years. Nelson has size, a running start (good finish to last year), and has the most stable situation relative to the others. More upside dynamic big game potential from Decker, but steady week in week out PPR production from Nelson.

McCluster...interesting player, but I want no part of that train wreck.

Moore is a freak. I'm convinced his wingspan and hands make up for his lack of height. I think physically he's similar to Mike Wallace but with a bit less speed and better ball skills. He effortlessly tracks the ball into his hands and leaps to make catches at the highest point.

This guy is the definition of how you want to play WR.

Smooth.
