This is what I did, too. Oh well. I think I'll ride it out but no confidence in the guy anymore. I mean, his QB is going to push 5,000 passing yards, and he gets jack. Very frustrating. How is his knee? Whatever it is, he isnt getting ANY looks.ANd here I thought I was so clever trading for him early in the season and stashing him. Expecting a WR1 once he came back. ####!
Talk to Michael Clayton.Seriously though...Colston is a beast...this is just a year he and all his owners will soon forget. He is killing me in quite a few leagues. Just killing me.I have to assume it's the knee. At his age, you don't just lose your talent.

He looked like he was limping on the one target he got. Doesn't look healthy.I have to assume it's the knee. At his age, you don't just lose your talent.
As Luke Campbell once said "Watch Marques y'all, as I get loose"!Thank you reverse jinx!
That is good comparson. I have a gut feeling that the 70yd TD may have restored some confidence in Colston for Brees and Payton. There were a number of times where Colston was wide open and he didn't even seem to be in the checkdown, and I think they are going to see that when they break down the game tape. On one of the TDs to Moore, where he took a short dump to the endzone, Colston was wide open in the endzone with no defender near him to make a play and the coach is definitely going to see that. I think Colston will get back to his usual level of production.Moore is Brees' version of Welker.
i saw the same thing. hopefully colston will be back in the fold come week 14.-biz-That is good comparson. Thats crazy. Bowe has been pretty consistant each week while Colston is an afterthought with the Saints. Good luck with that tho.I'm gonna roll the dice with Colston this week over Bowe (v Oak) or Edwards (v Indy)I think he is due. It seems just as you give up on players, they come up with big games.
Wow, if anyone believes one word that S Payton says regarding game planning or injuries they are more naive than Linus waiting for the Great Pumpkin in a pumpkin patch on Halloween nightWatching Colston's game this season & this week especially - its obvious he is still hurt & gimpyColston News from KFFL
(KFFL) Larry Holder, of the Biloxi Sun-Herald, reports the New Orleans Saints WR Marques Colston was not the target of many passes during Week 12 by design, as head coach Sean Payton said the Green Bay Packers left the middle of the field open so QB Drew Brees looked at other options. Colston, as noted, came up with just one catch - a 70-yard touchdown reception - during the team's win.
Wow, I have the exact same dilemma with those three receivers - benching Edwards, myselfI'm gonna roll the dice with Colston this week over Bowe (v Oak) or Edwards (v Indy)I think he is due. It seems just as you give up on players, they come up with big games.
The attention he's been getting in the Saints' offense has been increasing for some time, and Moore has earned it twice over. He's proven that he's a legit NFL WR and should keep his job. What does everything think of Moore's keeper value going forward? One year wonder or window to things to come?
I think it's premature to anoint Moore the new Colston for 2009 and beyond, but I do think it's indisputable at this point that Marques Colston has been supplanted by Moore for the remainder of the season. I just cannot trust this guy at all. He's a huge disappointment, and Drew Brees is punishing us Colston owners for his suckiness. Since Colston returned in week 7, Moore has 28 receptions, 393 yards, and five TDs over that span. Colston has 13 receptions, 296 yards, and one TD. Notably, he hasn't played one game as the beneficiary of more targets than Lance Moore. Moore's been targeted 45 times to Colston's 26 because he gets open and catches the football. His reception percentage is 62.2%, whereas Colston is only good for 50%.I hope he proves me wrong in the next month, but the evidence suggests Marques Colston is at best a weak WR3 start for this week at Tampa and an average WR3 start weeks 14-16.No.Moore is very good as the #2, but can't produce if double covered. I like Colston in the playoffs.
