MoP retiring RB's to Exploit/Avoid? (1 Viewer)

If he did, I can't say I blame him - it probably takes a huge chunk of his time and he puts it out there for free. If he decides to do it again, I'll be grateful, but I won't be upset or anything if it's gone.

I appreciate folks wanting to still read this, most of you have been so supportive over the years and I can't thank you enough, unfortunately I just don't have the time to do it a lot of justice.

Maybe tonight I can write up a few games while the college is running on the TV.

My best advice week 1 is to not panic and not overreact. I think folks will be a tad shocked that so many of the players do not reproduce their same numbers from a year ago just like every other year I have participated in FF.

It's been quite a while since I've been in the shark pool but MoP always had great contributions. He was one of the users to whom I always paid a little extra attention. Like killrobotkill said, I would love it if he wrote it up again, but I understand if not.

Come on Mop, hook us up! Its nice to be refreshed, if not actually learn something. (its my fav post, if you didnt know)

Fbg's should just pay him $30 or so a week to do it freelance. Don't need to make him staff, just a once a week freelance thing.

I don't post very often, but just had to say thanks MoP for all the great reads in the past regarding this topic. Lots of us obviously looked forward to it, but you don't owe anybody anything. Good luck with your life and best of luck in the FF leagues you participate.

I'm sure Joe doesn't want one of his staffers giving away quality material like that for free. I'm sure it's in the paid content area of the site somewhere.

I agree with everyone here that, while it was a great read in the past, you don't owe anything to anybody. IIRC, last year's version was sort of pared down as well. Thanks for the previous seasons and the other great contributions you make to the Shark Pool.

Agreed, MoP's Exploit / Avoid posts were always considered required reading IMHO. Also agree that he should be a staffer – I actually enjoyed all of his posts (even if there were a few I didn't completely agree with, but it was nice to have an intelligent counterpoint to consider other than the “that dude sucks” responses many seem to have with nothing further to add)...

MoP – here is hoping that all is well and that you’re just busy as h***!

It's a lot of fun to poke sticks at MoP but those threads were entertaining. Was it groundbreaking stuff? Nope. Did he hit an absurdly high percent of his calls? I doubt it. Was it full of statistics and Vegas odds? Not so much. Yet despite all the criticisms it was a fun read. He put a lot of thought into them.

Most ff players want something simple, entertaining, and easy to read. MoP offered exactly that. I hope he takes his talents to a place he can make some money. There's a big audience for his talents. As easy and fun as it is to rattle mope's cage, FBG's could use someone with his humorous yet talented style of generic advice. Best of luck!

thanks for your efforts mop. I always liked your write ups and I totally understand not having the time to continue. in the past, your rb column really helped me out, thanks again

Reading MOPs RB thread during my morning dump on football Sundays had become somewhat of a family tradition in this household.

Did you have everyone gathered around?

Would have the fire place app cranking on the iPad 2. Those Sunday mornings will be missed.
