Bernard Berrian will be a FA this year, He could be playing for a contract. - Moose is getting older, Hester is getting better, and Ball could suprise?

Vincent Jackson plays with Craig Davis, Eric Parker is hurt and not very good, Has to deal with Gates and LT for grabs but Jackson is big. Malcom Floyd is also vastley under-rated.

PPR League -

I would go with VJ because of a better QB situation and better offense and skills (I consider BB is be field stretcher and not a WR who will catch 8 balls a game).

The only advantage to BB would be if there are bonus spots for long TDs.

I think Berrian, and I'm not sure it's even close. Berrian has proved to be a weapon and all evidence from training camp this year is that he has dedicated himself into becoming a complete WR. He produced at a high level last year and was excellent in the playoffs. Muhammad is surely soon to retire and there is very little proven receiving competition on the Bears. I think you'll see a much better Grossman this year and in the future.

Jackson hasn't done much yet. Davis has looked, according to reports, better this camp. Long term, it's hard to imagine a scenario in which Gates isn't this team's leading receiver. LT also gets a ton of receptions. Who knows how long Norv will be around, but he doesn't have a history of producing very successful fantasy WRs.

i have to agree with you.

Respectfully disagree. The Bears are known to not be a throwing team and mostly are a running team with limited weapons. The Chargers on the other hand have one of the best offenses in the NFL and should be productive for years to come.

Isn't Vincent Jackson the same type of WR as Craig Davis'
Not even close to the same at all! Malcolm Floyd and Vincent Jackson are clones, both tall at 6'5, lanky receivers that have trouble getting separation. Craig Davis is a smaller speed guy who is explosive off the line and creates space quickly kind of like what Eric Parker did last year for SD. To answer the thread question, I really like Berrian to emerge this year as the #1. Vincent is nice, but too many weapons around him to produce big time. He already is a hugh red zone target though so for TD heavy leagues I would go with Jackson.

And Berrian looks to be one of the few weapons they have. Whereas the Chargers also have a very good defense but they have Gates and LT2.

The Bears are going to pass quite a bit more this year. They are more comfortable with Grossman and management recognizes that they need a balanced, effective offense to win a Superbowl. Olsen was drafted to that end. While the Chargers have a great offense, they haven't produced good fantasy WRs in recent years. Further, their new coach, Turner, is notorious for relying on TEs and RBs at the expense of WRs. He has also gone on record as not being impressed with their current crop of receivers. So, there's no real reason to expect a good fantasy WR to come out of San Diego. Even if there was, it's also pretty questionable whether his name would be Vincent Jackson.

I don't quite understand all the love for Vincent Jackson. He's made a few plays here and there, but his lofty dynasty ranking is mostly speculation. Gates and Tomlinson are the top receiving options on that team. Davis was a higher pick than Jackson and may ultimately become the better WR. I don't see much cause for optimism.

Berrian has flashed a little more talent and seems like a better bet to have a breakout season. Most of the reports I've read have said that he has more or less overtaken Muhammad as the WR1 in Chicago. He's playing for a big contract, so he should bust his tail this season.

:loco:
Not many know that VJax has caught more than 3 balls in one game only ONCE in his career.

Berrian is the answer here, imo.

Jackson by far, IMO. Berrian is a speedster, but I think Bradley is better. Jackson has all the skills and will prove that this season.

ONCE?? Well...that's the exact same number of 3+ catch/games Berrian had his first two seasons.

Lanky!?!? And let me guess...David Boston is wirey?? Jackson is probably the biggest starting WR in the NFL at the moment.

Bradley has done little in his two years in the NFL. He has suffered two pretty serious injuries in that time. He was also pretty raw coming out of Oklahoma. At this point, he is lucky to be in the conversation for the #3 WR on the Bears roster. There is not a lot of concern about Bradley if you are a Berrian dynasty owner.

Having Gates/LT2 means more attention focused on them. If Berrian is one of a few (Benson??), then more attention can be focused on him alone, just my two cents.

But don't you want your FF WR to be one of the most important pieces of his team's offense? I think it's a good thing that he's one of their main weapons. That means they'll be relying on him.

Not gonna totally disagree with you, but I don't care for Grossman at all. Alot of attention will be put on Berrian, can he step up and be the #1 guy? Not sure yet. Not saying VJackson is a #1 FF WR, but he has alot of potential and I have been drinking the  since last year.
