Morgan Burnett vs. Charlie Peprah (1 Viewer)

Clearly Burnett came screaming out of the gates in the first few games. However, in the last four games these are the stats:

Burnett: 13 solo / 5 asst / 1 FF / 1 PD

Peprah: 19 solo / 10 asst / 3 INT / 3 PD / 1 TD

In those last four games, Burnett outperformed Peprah only once (Wk 6), when Burnett had his FF.

Despite the clear outperformance in the last four weeks, FBG has consistently ranked Burnett in the Top 10 and Peprah in the 20-30 range. Including this week. Wondering if this an oversight or clear belief that Burnett is the better player and Peprah is a fluke.

To my knowledge, Burnett is still playing with a club on his hand. Has this been the reason or is there something more fundamental going on?

Any insight would be appreciated.

Burnett is by far the better player, but when Collins went out (and unfortunately that could be more than just this year) Burnett took over his roaming FS spot, a spot where if Burnett could still catch he'd probably have some more INT's. So it's a little bit of both, somewhat because of the cast, but mostly position change. If he were back in his SS spot, he'd still be a beast.

I have been a bit impressed with Peprah, more so than I had before. And I think of course statistically speaking he is the safety to own this year. But I just don't see it lasting past this year. Because as we all know beasts in FF aren't always the better NFL players.

Gotta go with Peprah, even in dynasty. Take the production now, try to grab Morgan back next year. If not, there is so much flux at DB you will have other oppys.

Both had identical stats last night. 2 solo / 4 asst / 1 PD which is pretty good considering limited tackle opptys (41).

From what I observed, Burnett was involved in a few blitzes in addition to playing center field so bodes well for big plays and Peprah was all over run support and short passes, as expected.

FBG moved up Peprah later in the week's projections and had both near top 10 by end of week. Good call.

Did you watch the game last night? Minnesota was terrible vs GB soft pass D. I think they got 2 1st downs the whole game and the scoring only came from their turnover.
