Mother in law might go to jail (1 Viewer)

MIL basically gambled with someone else's assets, lost, got caught, got bailed out, and is right back at it.  Is she Wall St. by any chance?

A three thousand dollar ring one does not contain much gold and typically will have a crappy odd sized diamond.  (here is an example http://mullenjewelers.com/collections/engagement-rings-under-3000/products/83cttw-pave-round-diamond-engagement-ring) .  Do you think a .83 G (or yellow) Si2 (you can see plenty of carbon with naked eye) is worth more than a few hundred dollars?  and gold, what do you think there is in that maybe 4-5 grams?  100-150?  Jewelry is a huge sham my friend.

Can we go back 20-30+ yrs too see where it all went wrong?  Is there a history of depression in your MIL family?  How was your MILs upbringing?  Are/were your wife's grandparents good people or did they plant the seeds for your MILs troubles?  Did she have a nervous breakdown or suffered abuse at some point? 

She's FUBAR now and needs years of therapy, counseling and perhaps medication but was she ever normal?  You may have written her off but it won't be as easy for your wife to do.

Don't waste your time. Ghostguy isn't looking for constructive input. This thread is only for those that want to see his MIL get her just desserts.

Edit: Hope she gets hit by a bus. (wanted to make sure I complied with the thread rules)

Nothing sweeter than living 5 states away from my MIL. She is a piece of crap and you are better off not having to deal with her.

She was a crackhead who physically/emotionally/neglectfully abused her kids their entire lives. 

I don't give a flying #### what her family history is, how her parents raised her, whether or not she was ever normal,  or anything else that could have created that monster.  What a colossal waste of time to even think about any of that.  It DOES NOT MATTER!!!  IT WOULD CHANGE NOTHING!!  For all I know she was locked in a cage and taught how to be a monster.  Even if that was the case, so ####### what?? 

BTW, yes she is FUBAR, and my wife wrote off having any sort of meaningful relationship with her a while ago. 

So many question here about her history.  She is a monster and always has been.  No idea why some of you are focusing on WHY she is a monster.  Who gives a ####

I care about the FBG community too much for that. 

Just picture that person at the gas station when you need to run in and grab something real quick, and she is holding up the line going up and down the line of lottery tickets buying $200 worth of crap, and starts scratching them off before she even gets out of the way of the next person in line.

Little busy this morning but here is a couple things off the top of my head:

1- taking her kids (various ages at various time) into crack houses to buy and use crack.

2- blowing any chance of being able to help any of her kids by blowing all the family money numerous times

3- 4 bankruptcies.  

4- at my old house my wife kicked her out of the house.  On the way out she threw an elbow right through the glass on the front door, got in her car and left.

5- a few weeks ago calling every family member asking for help making her house payment, everyone said no, so she proceeds to cuss them all out saying nobody cares about here.  This has happened 100 times.  

Too many more to list and not enough time in the day.

Uh uh.  Maybe I shouldn't be so hateful towards this incredible woman.

Turns out a few weeks ago when she took me and my wife out for dinner on our birthday (we have the same birthday) she lost all her money a couple days before, so she went and pawned the ring to pay for our birthday dinner. 

What  sweetheart :wub:

I'm a nurse too. It's certainly possible to divert. Doesn't seem nearly as common as the statistics say it is, and I haven't seen it happening personally, nor heard of it on my unit.

That said, it would be very difficult, if not impossible, to divert any significant amount without eventually getting caught.

The woman makes everyone miserable and put all her kids though various types of legitimate abuse while growing up, and even since they have become adults.  Yet the public these days seems to want to focus on what can be done to help the waste of flesh.

Other people have problems, too.  Much of which was caused by this woman in the first place. 

And I would imagine the vast majority of people out there do not have a "poisonous" family member.  If you don't, then you simply have no idea.  It's amazing.
