Hate that he finally got his awards for the overrated The Departed.

Hard to find a more perfectly directed film, imo, than Raging Bull.

Age of Innocence is also brilliant and extremely underrated. Gangs of NY, King of Comedy, Italianamerican, Last Temptation, Casino all pretty amazing in their own right as well.

Pretty much agree with the top 4. I like Cape Fear and think it could be one of Deniro's best roles- but don't consider it elite, I'd slot Last Temptation in instead. as a Doc, it's hard to rank Last Waltz- but damn that was a well done movie. also, as per my previous post- I rate his comedies very highly. love King of Comedy, and a huge fan of After Hours as well (even though I never liked the casting of the lead).
