Multiple Picks in a round strategies? (1 Viewer)

I'm in a start 2QB 12 team keep 2 league and am keeping 2 RBs and would likely take wrs with my 3 and 4th pix. This is of course predicated on a reasonable run of QBs gone in the first 4 rounds -- up through McNabb perhaps.

I am picking 11 out of 12 and have traded for a 6th round pick so I pick twice in round 6 after a late 5th rounder. It's a live draft and I could see a chance to change the complexion of the draft- a little controlled chaos. My question is whether I should think about taking 3 QBs perhaps with PICKS 59, 62, 68 -

Cutler, Hasslebeck, Bulger, Garrard type stuff... or any other ideas?

I guess the idea is to spook folks into a run on mid range qbs.

But MY NEXT PICK IS late 7th round at 83! -- if this works I'm hoping for Cotchery/Selvin...

...or is this a dumb idea?

I like this, as long as you like the value & the players. You'll get 3 decent or better QB's to mix & match,

However, you might start the run with the first two picks and then zag to get the non-QB you like with the 3rd pick, with the comment "I got my 2 QB's".

as it's a keeper-league I'm keeping ADP and Gore... so it would have to start with #3... if there is value at 3 then sure will...

This is a good thread topic as I'm sure some guys in keeper leagues have multiple picks in certain rounds.

I have two 3rd round picks in my keep-1 league. Using the strategy from "The Perfect Draft", does this just mean you try to grab folks a round earlier so you can snag top players at certain position before others do since you have an extra pick (i.e. a QB or TE)? Or do you still just go for value picks that outperform ADP?

I would be very surprised in a start 2QB league that those QB's would be available around the 60th pick in the draft, plus keepers gone.

I have multiple 4th round picks in a keeper league (keeping LT and LJ). So I have a 3rd and 2 4th's. I am trying to figure out whether I want to grab a top qb in round 3 if they are there (Romo/Brees), a #3 back (Turner, T. Jones) or take my top 3 wr's (Holmes, Cal. Johnson, Boldin). The 3rd and 4th round are really subjective this year.

I agree I don't know whether I should use the extra pick to build out my starting lineup earlier (via Perfect Draft) or use it as a flyer and take the best value on the board. For example if I take Romo in the 3rd (passing td's are 6 pts) and Brees is there in the 4th do I take him? Not a start 2 qb league.

getinthemix- i agree that it's unlikely that I'll get Hass in the 5th round but who knows... that's 5th inclusinve of the 2 keeper rounds btw.

I don't know how soon the 2nd/3rd tier QBs go... is 5th reall too late for Hasslebeck? Has anyone here ran enough mocks or drafted yet with 2qbs?
