SUPER ELITE UPPER TIER
My GF sent me a text a little bit ago and it said, "Bill collector just called me at work. So embarrassing."
So I text her back and ask who it was. As far as I know, we're not behind on any bills. She said she wasn't sure but it may be one of her credit cards. She thought maybe she was a little late on it. I told her if she was a little late on it, I can't see why they would be calling.
After a little thought, I asked, "Wait. How do you not know who it was? Didn't you talk to them?"
She texts back saying that the other lady in the office answered while she was in the bathroom. My GF works in a doctor's office with 2 other people and a doctor. She does the insurance claims and such for them.
She then asked if they were even allowed to call her work? I said I didn't think so, but I didn't know for sure. Still, for just being a "little late", it seemed overly excessive.
She texts me back, and it's obvious with each text she's getting more and more upset as she thinks about it. She writes, "Screw this. I'm calling them back and giving them a piece of my mind."
I say OK and go back to work. About 5 minutes later she texts me and says she called but got a voicemail. So she left a nasty message. She told them they had no right to call her work and bother her co-workers. Then told them to go to hell and stick it where the sun don't shine.
I tell her good for her.
About 10 minutes goes by and I get another text. They called back. Apparently it was a guy from a collection company her office uses for patients who don't pay. He was calling to get information from her about some patients who didn't pay.
Funny thing is she said the guy was very apologetic and finished every answer with "Yes, ma'am" and "No, ma'am." Poor guy.
