I've started a lot of Patriot threads this year, but this will be the last one, because I've seen everything I need to see. I know how the season is going to come out, and so do you, if you're honest about it.
The Steelers are not overrated. They are a very good team, with a great defense. But they didn't have a chance today, because they faced the greatest offense ever in the history of the sport. Period. The Steelers are perhaps a better team than they were in 2005, but it didn't make any difference. As a Steeler fan, I'm hoping they can use the off season to shore up the offensive line and the pass rush; otherwise, my fear is that Big Ben may spend the prime of his career as a fine QB but lingering in the shadow of Brady and Manning. Go Steelers!
As for the Patriots, they had their bad games. Nobody is going to stop them. They will go 19 and 0 and destroy Dallas or GB in the Superbowl. I actually have strong doubts that any of the games in the playoffs will be competitive. It's their year, and those of us who don't like them will just have to live with it.
So long as I make it through this week in FF (and it's close right now) I may still discuss individual Patriot players and how they will perform. But I won't discuss them anymore as a team, because it's all been written by people far better than me. That's it, I'm out!
