Trying to prepare myself if Kelce is out tonight. 12 team PPR.

N. Gray vs DET - Will step in, Mahommes throwing to him, shold be a shoot out. However, the last couple times Kelce has been out Mahommes has thrown to like 9 different receivers. There's also another TE in the mix.

Or

J. Ferguson @NYG - NYG were terrible against TEs last year. Dak is no Mahommes, but he liked peppering D. Schultz in the redzone last year. Against the NYG's last year, he scored two TDs.

* Note: One benefit of going with Ferguson. Sunday night game. If I'm blowing my opponent out or he's blowing me out I can ditch him and pick up somebody for week 2 (i.e. NYG D against AZ offense).

Which?

Thanks

I will zig and go with Noah Gray. He is good and been around enough I don't think Mahomes will be afraid to go to him. Take the chance and watch your guy tonight.

Isn't there another TE that gets snaps? Maybe B. Bell?

Voted Ferguson, but wouldn't be surprised at all if Gray takes it.

Really struggling with the ultimate ceiling of Gray in dynasty. Is there a world where he's a top-6 TE in 2025 post-Kelce?

Interesting stats:

Mahomes last yr: 18.3% RB | 49.1% WR | 32.4% TE
Mahomes on 93 att w/o Kelce last yr: 21.8% RB | 57.5% WR | 19.5% TE
Mahomes career: 18.2% RB | 52.7% WR | 28.9% TE
Mahomes on 275 att w/o Kelce career: 21.9% RB | 63.1% WR | 14.2% TE

I may change my mind...

If he indeed sits, Noah Gray would project as an every-down tight end. Gray quietly appeared on 52% of Kansas City’s 2022 offensive snaps and finished fifth on the team in catches. He was a freak athlete coming out of Duke three years ago, blazing a 4.55 forty at 6-foot-3, 240.

Per Evan Silva

He had 52 routes run in 1-TE sets last year, and he saw an intriguing 17% target rate and 2.0 yards per route run on them. With TE Jody Fortson also injured, Gray should be a near full-time player in an offense projected for the most points in the NFL. The coaching staff trusts Gray, and he even ran the 4th-most routes during their playoff run last year. Detroit was 24th vs. TEs, too. I am a believer. The Underdog Fantasy Pick'em lobby has his receiving line at 30.5 yards.

Per Hayden Winks (ranks him 10 behind Andrews, Hock, Waller, Higbee, Skittles, Goedert, Njoku, Wngram, Musgrave (assuming Watson and Doubs are out).
