LOL, I was thinking that if I lost my 2nd or 3rd WR that I would hope I had enough of a team for it not to ruin my season...Dodds and Wimer.. even the staff are not exempt from this:Aaaarrrrgh. I drafted him in all but 1 of my leagues this year. Including all the Footballguys.com Staff leagues...![]()
Overhyped? It's not like he lost his spot due to poor performance. He was basically the only option in the passing game until Engram gets back. Before he was injured, and had 80 yards and a TD. He was a quality WR3/4 before that, and I don't think anyone was making him out to be anything more than that. He was pretty correctly hyped, it seems.another over-hyped guy bites the dust..Hasselbeck is going to LOVE Engram once he comes back...could be a top 5 WR from that point forward..
Returning period is probably Branch. But he won't be full speed til midseason. Engram will be up to full speed sooner I think since his injury and recovery is much less severe.SO who is closer to returning, Branch or Engram?
Im likeing Kent alot right now. He would seem to have the physical traits to be their best endzone target even if all their WR's were there. Hes 6'4 I think, great athlete. Did well in preseason. After this weeks game, im also going to assume his hands are at least as good as Courtney Taylors. Id probably take a flier on Kent in Dynasty and Keeper leagues mostly. Probably Kent over Taylor in redraft too. Allthough Payne did get the PT over Kent so far. So im not sure how the staff will arrange their WideoutsRobinson will never be back.IMO it's going to be Payne and Kent getting the numbers here. Payne gets open and has nice hands. Hasselbeck looked to Kent often in limited playing time.Taylor is dog ####![]()
Courtney Taylor will most definitely outperform Kent this year. Taylor was the starter and Kent only got some PT when Burleson went down.Im likeing Kent alot right now. Link.Koren Robinson, ready and willing

The fit seems to make so much sense.
The Seahawks were down to three healthy wide receivers by the end of Sunday's game, the cupboard so bare that the expectation is Michael Bumpus will be activated from the practice squad and Seneca Wallace may spend time at wide receiver.
And as Seattle casts a net on the available pool of free agents, there's one guy out there who wouldn't need an initiation to Seattle's playbook: Koren Robinson. He said Tuesday afternoon he hasn't heard from the Seahawks.
"I have not," Robinson said in a telephone interview. "But I just would think that I would be a good fit for them with me still knowing the playbook and everything like that."
Robinson last played for the Packers. He is 28, has been working out with a trainer at the O2 Fitness in Raleigh, NC, and said he would welcome a chance to play for the Seahawks.
"That's my first home, and I didn't want to leave, but circumstances played out the way they did," Robinson said.
Those circumstances are really the only thing that could explain why the Seahawks wouldn't consider Robinson the best option in what is a dire situation at wide receiver. A lot has happened since Robinson last played for the Seahawks in 2004. He was arrested in the offseason for DUI, and the Seahawks released him in the summer.
"Things have definitely changed for me on my side," Robinson said. "I'm much more mature, I'm able to learn for my mistakes. I'm definitely a different person from who I was back then. A different perspective on my life."
Robinson went to rehabilitation in 2005, came back with the Vikings and made the Pro Bowl in 2005 as a returner. He was arrested during training camp with Minnesota in 2006 after a police chase. Robinson served a year suspension, and returned to the NFL in 2007 with the Packers.
Robinson said he continues to be sober.
"I can tell you this, I'm living that lifestyle," Robinson said. "I'm living that lifestyle and that is what this is all about."
Robinson was released in May by the Packers, and he has been waiting for the right situation.
"There are still teams that are interested in me," Robinson said. "It just hasn't come together as far as contracts, and role also. That just means that I have to be patient."
And so he continues waiting.
"I'm just ready for that phone call and I will be ready when that phone call comes," Robinson said.
And this week, he's hoping Seattle coach Mike Holmgren returns the phone message he left.
No.The question isn't whether he's ready. The question is whether he steps into the starter's role. By default, the answer is yes.Yes the cupboard is bare. But Kent simply isn't ready. He barely made the team. The first time he ever played football was 2005.I don't know how you can say no. The cupboard is bare. It's him or Payne by default until Branch gets back or they sign a free agent.No. Kent is a project. He's a speed guy. He didn't even play high school football and only played 2 years of college football. He was a champion sprinter in college and also played on the basketball team (his dad is Oregon Ducks basketball coach Ernie Kent). He's still learning the game. Can we expect Jordan Kent to step into a starter's role now?
Guess I was right. Kent was just released... leaving Seattle with only 2 healthy WRs.Courtney Taylor will most definitely outperform Kent this year. I am not too familiar with how teams pickup players from other teams' practice squads but wouldn't the guys on practice squads be better options then a veteran?Notable free agent WRs:Troy BrownTim DwightDoug GabrielBrian GilmoreTerry GlennJoe HornKeenan McCardellAaron MooreheadEric MouldsPeerless PriceKoren RobinsonTroy WaltersCedrick WilsonPeter Warrick (was on Seattle roster in 2005)
Pretty sure you can sign any player from any practice squad but you have to put them on your active roster. That said, I would think that a veteran would learn the playbook faster than a younger player.I am not too familiar with how teams pickup players from other teams' practice squads but wouldn't the guys on practice squads be better options then a veteran?
