Need help from Seattle homers... (1 Viewer)

O.K., so I'm going to my first Seahwks game (week 3) and I am pumped. Should be a great game with lots of fantasy action, but here's my dilemma.

I have only been to Seattle once and am staying in Bellvue with the family for the weekend to take in some more sights on Friday and Saturday and then go to the game on Sunday. Does anyone have any suggestions on the best way to get to the stadium and park on Sunday if you dont have a pass because I have to get out after the game for the long drive back to Spokane.

I'm not familiar with the parking arrangements around the stadium and am wondering if there are any homers that may have suggestions as to what I can do to make the day a little easier (especially with 2 kids).

Thanks a lot in advance.

You can take Sounder right to the stadium if you want to park elsewhere for a getaway.
Does the sounder travel from Bellvue or does it just go North South??
Just north South. If you are looking for an alternative to driving in and parking - just park at the Bellevue Eastgate Park and Ride and take the bus in to within 100 yards of the stadium. There are multiple busses heading out of Seattle going ot that Park and ride as well. If you want to drive in - park in the Safeco field garage (south side) right off Edgar Martinez Dr. (Used to be Atlantic) for easy access back onto I-90. It's about 3 walking blocks from Qwest.

Take I-90 east and get off at 4th ave or whatever there will be stadium signs. I always park way out about a mile south of the stadium where the parking isnt 40+$

Thanks guys for all the help. I think I'm gonna park at the Eastgate P&R and take that in.Will there be a bunch of people there going to the game so I know what bus to get on? How do I get to the Eastgate P & R, is it the same thing on a map as Eastgate park? That I see.

yes there will be plenty of people... It's on SE Eastgate way - right next to I-90

Thanks, you guys are the best! See you there!

Or if you are cheap like me you can hang a right off of the I-90 exit in seattle. Take that street for .5 miles and there will be a Taco Bell/KFC...park behind there for free. It is a bit of a walk but its free :goodposting:

I use to park in the "sunken ship" parking lot on the lower level ,a few blocks north of Quest field. it was 20 bucks but we always found a spot..It may not be the best for kids thought we use to call it the "pee pit".

....................................Damn I miss Seattle....................

Damn, I was going to slip in with the eastgate park & ride, but I've been beat to the punch. Eastgate also works for the airport, by the way.

Just south of Starbucks there's a long chain link fence you can park along for free - there's also lots of spots on the other side of that road, many are marked "no parking" or "tow-away" but if you look carefully, many of them say "Monday-Friday" or "during business hours" - something like that. I get parking there often.

Enjoy your stay. I don't know where you're going to be in Bellevue, but check out The Taphouse Grill for dinner one night. Good food, but they have 160+ beers on tap.

Looking at a map, do I go as far south as S. Spokane when I'm traveling on 4th st?

no. way too far. I think he meant 1st Ave S - 1st/ Utah st. and Lander is the Starbuck HQ building - on the West side of 1st. On the eastside about 2 blocks N. is an actual starbucks store along with a KrispyKreme. Back across 1st - on the westside, there are businesses but behind those businesses runs a service road next to the railroad tracks. All parking along the chainlink fence is free. If you get there early enough you can actually get within 1/4 mile of the stadium...good luck!
