I have 3 open spots in my pen. I am not looking for potential closers, or guys who can pick up saves, at the expense of horrible ratios. I want steady middle relievers who have nice K rates, ERA's under 3.00 and whips at 1.2 or below.
Not sure how big your league is or who is on your WW (that may help), but Joel Zumaya was on my WW (only 8 team league) and he fits the bill. May also want to look into Evan Meek, Arthur Rhodes or Luke Gregerson for help too if they are not taken.
i would let someone take tyler clippard. his ERA and WHIP are slowly rising. another guy to keep an eye on when he comes back off surgery is tim stauffer.
i thought it was an emergency appendectomy. and he started in his last appearance before that. but yes, he's finally put it all together after being a top 5 pick in the 2003 draft.

yes, he made an emergency start after kevin correia's brother died. they have about 8 starting pitchers and are willing to keep stauffer in the pen.he was supposed to be out 6 weeks, but now i've read it may be closer to 3-4.
