Looking for dedicated owners for a 12 team auction keeper league. The basics of the league are a keeper league run on myfantasyleague.com. We will have a slow auction draft on the MFL site, there will be a $100 in-season cap and a $50 off season cap with each year a players value increasing by at least $1. The league will a $100 entry fee. If interested PM me or leave an email address and I will send out the Constitution when it is ready. Looking to get this league started ASAP so please hurry!

Here is the League Constitution so take a look and email ASAP....All fees will be paid through leaguesafe Email tvaldivi@me.com

Constitution

Auction

Will consist of a slow online auction through the myfantasyleague system. Each team will have a $100 salary cap in the auction and will be responsible for filling their roster with 16 players.

Here is how the auction will work. Each owner will be expected to nominate one player per day into the auction. This player is then up for auction to any owner in the league. Once a player’s highest bidder has not changed for a full 24 hours then that player is sold to the highest bidder. This means that each owner should check the site at least once a day but preferably multiple times throughout the day. Once a player’s highest bidder changes then that player time will reset for another 24 hours until it can be sold.

Each bid increment must be at least $0.25 and can be made at any time throughout the auction. At times there will be quite a few eligible players up for auction, so it will take discipline in choosing which players you wish to target. The auction should take several weeks, but is a great way for everyone to have a chance at their favorite players. If you have any questions please email Chris or Tyler.

Off-season Salary Cap:

By May 31st you will have to drop your team's salary to equal to or below the "off season cap". The "off season cap" is $50. So an owner can have from $0 all the way up to exactly $50 in salary by the deadline. Every year each players salary will be increased by $1.Commissioners will change salaries on the league site each year. For example: LT is making $35 this year, his salary will be automatically increased to $36 for 2006. Each owner will not be able to make any off season moves until all money is in for the upcoming season.

Trade Deadlines:

You may not start trading until March 1st each year in the off season. HOWEVER, YOU MAY NOT MAKE A TRADE UNTIL ALL MONEY IS PAID FOR THE UPCOMING SEASON. This is to protect a team's players from being dealt away and then the owner drops out of the league. The in-season trade deadline is going to be the Thursday after Week 8. So to make it simple, the trade window begins March 1st each year and ends on Thursday, 10:00 PM CST after Week 8 games are finished.

Money:

$100 will be due on July 1st each season. It will give us an idea of who is in and not in. That will give us time to find a new owner if we need to. YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO AUCTION WITHOUT YOUR MONEY IN.

Filling Lineup:

All lineups must be filled. MFL does not allow you to leave empty slots in your lineup card. It's a full lineup or no lineup. Bye week players are also not allowed to be inserted into your lineups. So each team must have a total of 9 starters. 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 1 WR/TE, 1 K, 1 DEF

All lineups must be filled. I am setting the site up so that no "partial lineups will be allowed". The main thing we do not want is owners getting complacent and just starting players on byes.

Injured Reserve :

We will have 1 injured reserve spot. A player cannot be put on our IR unless he is really on the Official NFL Injured Reserve. A player out for 2 or 3 weeks does not constitute putting a player on IR. Since the IR spot gives that owner a 50% cap relief on that player, that spot is basically for your star players that get injured for the season. Once a player is placed on injured reserve, he cannot be removed.

Trading:

We will keep the system of a trade is a trade. We will have some basic rules though. When you are making a trade, you must be at or under the $100 cap at all times. Even in the off season up until the auction draft each year.. Since the off season cap will be considerably lower than the regular season cap, you must take that into consideration. So remember that if you are taking on a big salary via trade. THERE WILL ONLY BE PLAYER(s) FOR PLAYER(s) TRADES. NO CASH OFFERS FOR PLAYERS WILL BE CONSIDERED VALID.

Trade Procedure - If you are making a trade involving more than 2 teams, all involved trades must keep all involved teams under the $100 salary cap at all times. No team may acquire players that put them over the cap, then move those players to another team to get them back under the cap. All owners involved in deals that involve more than 2 teams must all confirm their deals on the message board or via email to the commishes before any of the involved deals can be processed. All 3 teams deals are subject to Commissioner(s) approval prior to processing. The MFL site will not accomidate trades involving more than 2 teams so these types of trades must be worked out in private and posted on the message board for the league to see prior to the approval/processing stage.

***Note*** There will be circumstances when a Commish is processing trades involving more than 2 teams where it will appear that a team has momentarily violated the salary cap. This is due to site restrictions and is not a violation. Commishes are responsible for analyzing these special trades involving more than 2 teams to ensure that no team will violate the cap or roster limits when all trades involved are finished with processing.

Waiver Wire:

We will be using a blind bidding waiver wire that runs from kickoff of the first game each week through Wednesdays at 8 PM CST. The website will then award each FA player to the highest bidder. A "locked" player is one that is released by any owner until said player passes through blind waivers. If a player is not bid on during the blind bidding process, he is then released to the FA market. All free agents are available from Wednesdays at 8PM CST until kickoff of each week. Each FA will have a value of $2 assigned to them and will be added to your team salary cap when you sign them.

NOTE: Ladder bidding will not be an acceptable form of bidding. All bids on a specific player must be the same $$ amount no matter what round you place those bids. You may not bid $24 for LT2 in R1 and then bid $25 on LT2 in R2. Any round of bids that has ladder bids involved will be totally discarded as null and void. So just make sure you bid the same $$ amount on LT2 wherever you bid on him. You may adjust your conditional drops, when placing multiple bids but not the $$ amount.

Roster Limits:

Each team shall have 16 players total on their roster at finish of auction. During the season you can have less that 16 but you must have enough players to fill 1 complete starting lineup. You will have 9 starters each week using FLEX roster. A basic starting lineup will consist of 1QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 1 WR/TE 1 PK, and 1 DEF. I have decided to go with the FLEX option to cover teams having injury problems and bye week issues. Our scoring system is setup for balance so it shouldn't affect week to week scoring too much.

Annual Rule Changes:

Any rule changes shall be submitted and discussed in the annual league meetings. Rule changes should be submitted via email or on the league message board during the first couple of weeks in May. At the end of May, before the off-season cap is met, the submitted rule changes will be voted on. A 66% (8 owners minimum) approval must be met for a rule to change. If an owner does not submit a vote, then he is counted as a "no" vote (keep existing rule as is).

Playoff Eligibility:

Total of 6 teams will make the playoffs (3 division winners and 3 wild card teams). The two teams with the best overall record will have a first round bye in the playoff thus a definite advantage for having a bye in the playoffs. Playoffs will begin in week 14, with the Semi-Finals week 15 and Championship week 16.

Payouts (based on 12 teams)-

2009 Payout Setup: MFL League Fee $89

1200-89= $1111

Best Overall Record- $40 (in the event of a tie of record, the team with the most average points will win this)

Getting lots of interest and want to start this league asap! email tvaldivi@me.com if you want in and I can set you up with the league info and leaguesafe.

Draft is tentatively scheduled to begin this Sunday. It is a slow auction so we need to start soon. Once we get all owners filled and paid for then we will start the auction there after.

I am getting the exact specifics from myfantasyleague support but essentially this is how it will work.

Each owner will be responsible for nominating a player each day. That player will be on the market for essentially 24 hours until there is no change in who the max bidder on a player is. So for example if Team 1 has been the max bidder on LT for 23 hours, that player will be available for one more hour unless the high bidder changes. If the high bidder changes then the clock will reset another 24 hours. In all likelihood there will be quite a few players on the market at one time. It is essential to check the computer at least once a day, but you don't have to be on the computer at all times.

I will get the exact details from MFL shortly and will send out a league wide email once I receive that. If you have any other questions email me at tvaldivi@me.com

Only 3 spots left, filling up real fast... Email tvaldivi@me.com HURRY
